Chapter 31: Chance of Survival

Mike's sneak attack came from the blind spot of Jihad's sight. There was no reason for the opponent to detect it, but Jihad still avoided it.

Mike was stunned for a moment, and then a big hand grabbed his neck and lifted him up.

Mike's face turned red and he kept kicking the guy who was pinching him, but no matter how he fought back, the other guy's chest was like a hard leather pad and he was completely unmoved.

He is the tall, strong man with the power to knock Eredin away with one punch.

When Mike saw that kicking had no effect, he stabbed the opponent's arm with a knife.

The strong man's skin was finally punctured and blood flowed out, but the other man's endurance was very strong. He grabbed Mike's head and smashed it to the ground, causing Mike to almost faint on the spot.

Mike had been trying to use invisible techniques to interfere with the opponent's emotions, but the strong man in front of him seemed to have no emotions, and he did not hesitate to attack him.

"Don't kill him."

Jihad knelt down and looked at Mike with a sneer.

"I've already told you, it doesn't matter who opens the card. As long as it is turned over and someone sees the face of the card, the bet will work. So killing me won't solve any problems."

Mike was so pressed that he couldn't move, and glared at Jihad with his eyes open.

The latter kicked off the dagger from his hand and mocked: "I foresee your sneak attack. I can predict everything that will happen in this room..."

Before he finished speaking, Jihad's expression froze for the second time.

He suddenly shouted and fell to the ground, and then from the broken front window behind him, a round iron ball-like cannonball flew in!

The shell directly hit the cab, blowing up all the pagans and causing them to fall into chaos, with flesh and blood flying everywhere.

Jihad kept coughing and got up. In his mind, he was finally able to clearly see the causal line caused by the accident.

"Deep Diver..."

Coughing and cursing again, Jihad reached out to touch the things in his pocket, but found nothing.

He was surprised to find that there was a fire in the cab, and the fire was getting bigger and bigger. The stack of cards he had just put away actually fell into the fire and was burned to charcoal.

No one saw what the cards looked like.

"Damn it!"

He looked up again to look for traces of Mike, only to find that the man had already escaped control and quickly escaped from the damaged cab, leaving only a silhouette behind.

It seemed that those cards were exactly what Mike threw into the fire.

Before the cannonball hit, Jihad predicted it a second or two in advance and found a suitable place to take shelter.

But who would have known that Mike was so lucky that not only was he not killed by a cannonball, but he also moved faster than Jihad and immediately burned the cards that controlled his life.

Compared to Mike, other pagans were not so lucky. Except for the strong man who was suspected of being a seer, most of the pagans were dead. Two of them were bloody and bloody, and one was burned to death by the burning flames.

Burning Man.

Seeing that the fire was getting bigger and bigger, Jihad asked the strong man to help him out of the cab.

However, the moment he walked out of the cabin door, his annoyed expression gradually revealed a sneer.

"Do you think you can get away with it? Mike Cambino..."

Mike ran up to the front deck. He originally wanted to warn others to be careful about Jihad's group of infidels, but he did not expect that the crisis situation on the front deck was even more serious.

Those roots almost entangled the entire bow of the ship, forcing people to gather in the middle.

Even security officers armed with weapons do not dare to attack these strange marine plants easily now, because someone has been injured by the poisonous gas just now.

Not only that, but with the hoarse scream of a woman, people's fear escalated to a higher level.

Some strange wriggling insects are crawling over the plants that grow from the sea.

They are all black, like leeches, showing a strange gathering pattern, divided into groups, as if a general is commanding these soldiers, arranged very regularly, and slowly crawl towards the tourists.

"ah!!"

"Don't let him touch me!"

"Drive them away! Give me a lighter!"

Mike was also forced into the crowd by these bugs. He didn't understand what was happening at all, and at this time, a voice came from the front.

"Mr. Mike Campino, look what this is?"

Mike looked up and found that Jihad had caught up with him! He had recovered from the impact of the explosion so quickly.

The next second, Mike took a breath and saw the card in Jihad's hand.

The card was folded, but the pattern on the back showed that it was indeed Mike's life card!

"How is that possible?! I obviously..."

"The cause of that cannonball will indeed cause you to destroy the card, but I made my own choice to prevent your actions in advance and took the card to another place."

Jihad's explanation was unacceptable to Mike.

He yelled at the opponent: "No way! I saw where you put the cards and you didn't have time to adjust."

"Haven't you ever met a cheating crook at the card table? Mr. Mike." Jihad sneered. His hood had been lifted, revealing Mediterranean-like hair.

However, Mike didn't have the slightest intention to laugh at the other person's hairstyle. He only felt aggrieved and fearful now.

"Want to take a bet? Bet on whether this card is the same one you had before?" Jihad held the card between his fingers and his smile turned cold.

Seeing that Mike was showing off his resistance to rats, he immediately ordered: "Create anger! Mike Cambino, those bugs will not attack people on the boat, let anger drive everyone to kill them!"

This sudden request really shocked Mike. He never expected that Jihad would ask him to do such a thing.

This kind of black squirming bug is completely different from the insects on land. It can actually be organized into small groups. It looks so evil that even everyone can feel the danger.

However, Jihad actually wants people to kill these things. How does he know that bugs will not attack humans?

If Jihad lied, if Mike aroused everyone's anger and caused these bugs to go on a killing spree, wouldn't it kill everyone?

Seeing his hesitation, Jihad's face gradually became serious, and he told Mike: "Now you can only listen to my order, Mike Campino, let everyone drive away these monsters, we must force Hai

The appearance of the things below is not to harm you, it is the hope for all of us to survive."

Thinking about the cards in the opponent's hand, Mike knew that he was not qualified to resist, so he finally gritted his teeth and became extremely angry, and then passed this emotion to the gathered crowd.

As a result, panicked people changed their attitude towards the bugs and began to attack them with everything in their hands, and even tried to step on them with their feet.

Surprisingly, just as Jihad expected, the bugs began to retreat in an orderly manner when people approached them, until they crawled back to the roots of the plants.
