Chapter 542 Japanese Treasures (Part 2)

Chapter 542: Japanese Treasures (Part 2)

...and what excites Liu Dong the most is Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Preface", which is known as the best in running script!

Of course, it is not the authentic calligraphy of Wang Xizhi, but the authentic running script of Ouyang Xun, one of the four great masters of the early Tang Dynasty, Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang, and Xue Ji!

According to historical records, after Emperor Taizong Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty obtained the authentic copy of "Lanting Preface", in order to let all the princes be educated, Taizong ordered Feng Chengsu and others to copy several copies and give them to the princes. Not only that, Taizong's most famous calligraphy at that time

Masters such as Chu Suiliang and Ouyang Xun all copied "Lanting Preface".

Nowadays, Feng Chengsu's Shenlong version of "Lanting Preface" and Chu Suiliang's "Lanting Preface" are both in the Palace Museum. There are more than 100 versions of "Lanting Preface" copied by later calligraphers, with varying levels of quality. However, Ouyang, a famous calligrapher,

Xun's copy must be of the highest quality, and Liu Dong also found the "Kaiyuan" small seal of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Rongji, Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Emperor Huizong's Neifu, Xiang Yuanbian, Song Jingwen, the prefect of Dingwu, Ming Neifu and other royal and famous figures.

Promotion and seal!

Originally, Ouyang Xun only had the "Dingwu Ben" stone carving from the Song Dynasty, but now he has this authentic calligraphy of Ouyang Xun's "Lanting Preface", which finally makes up for the shortcomings!

In addition to this copy of Ouyang Xun's "Lanting Preface", there is also "Fish-eating Tie" which is no less valuable than the former, because its author is the master of cursive calligraphy in the Tang Dynasty, Monk Huaisu, who is as famous as Zhang Xu!

Huaisu is an outstanding calligrapher in Chinese history. His cursive script is called "Kuaicao". His pen is round and powerful, turning like a circle, unrestrained and smooth. It is done in one go. He is as famous as Zhang Xu. In later generations, he is known as "Zhang Diansu Kuang" or "Zhang Diansu Kuang".

He is known as "Dian Zhang Zui Su". It can be said to be a classical romantic art. It has a profound influence on later generations. He can also write poems and has contacts with poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu and Su Huan. He likes drinking. Whenever drinking occurs, he will not

Separate walls, clothes, and utensils, and write at will. People at the time called them "drunk monks."

Huaisu's original "Zi Xu Tie", which has been handed down from generation to generation, is the most wild calligraphy in the history of calligraphy and has a great influence on later generations.

In addition to these two precious authentic calligraphy works of the Tang Dynasty, the next one is the "Man Ting Fang. Ode to Tea" picture scroll by Mi Fu, one of the four masters of the Song Dynasty! It also has Su Shi's promotion and seal on it.

According to historical records, Su Shi regarded Miyun Dragon as the most precious treasure in tea. In addition to Huang Tingjian, Qin Guan and other "four scholars of Su family" and Liao Zhengyi, Mi Fu, a famous calligrapher and painter, was also a guest of Su Shi. In the fourth year of Yuanyou (1089 AD)

, Su Shi was appointed as the governor of Hangzhou. When passing through Yangzhou, he summoned Mi Fu to meet him. Su Shi once again took out "Miyunlong" and shared it with him. Mi Fu wrote "Man Ting Fang" for this purpose,

The title is called "Yong Tea".

In addition to these three calligraphy and painting scrolls, the remaining 112 calligraphy works also include the handwriting of many famous artists, such as the traitor Cai Jing, Li Jianzhong, the Yuan Dynasty calligrapher Zhao Mengfu, Xian Yushu, Ni Zan, etc.!

In addition to calligraphy and paintings, there are more than 1,500 inscriptions and more than 20,000 ancient books. The most precious one is the Song Dynasty edition of "Taiping Yulan"!

"Taiping Yulan" is one of the four great books of the Song Dynasty. It is as famous as "Wenyuan Yinghua", "Taiping Guangji" and "Cefu Yuangui". It was compiled by imperial edict from scholars such as Li Fang, Li Mu and Xu Xuan in the Northern Song Dynasty.

It took six years to write!

"Taiping Yulan" was collected by groups of books, divided into fifty-five parts and five hundred and fifty categories and compiled into one thousand volumes, so it was originally called "Taiping General Category"; after the book was completed, Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty read three volumes in a day.

, when he was one year old, he read Zhou Dynasty, so it was renamed "Taiping Yulan". The whole book is prefaced by heaven, earth, people, things, and things, and is divided into fifty-five parts. It can be said to cover everything from ancient to modern times. The book cites more than a thousand ancient books.

It has preserved a large number of documents and materials before the Song Dynasty, but seventy-eight percent of them have been lost, which makes this book even more precious and a valuable heritage of the traditional culture of the Han nation.

The "Taiping Yulan" obtained by Liu Dong is not all of it. Among the fifty-five parts, there are only eight parts including the Earth Part, the Royal Part, the Pianba Part, the Royal Family Part, the Alchemy Part, the Disease Part, the Craft Part, and the Utensil Part.

It is complete, while the other forty-seven volumes are only partial, and many of them are not even partial! All together, there are 487 volumes!

However, it is still very rare!

In addition to "Taiping Yulan", there are also "Wenyuan Yinghua", "Taiping Guangji", and "Cefu Yuangui", but they are all Ming Dynasty engravings, and they are not complete, with more than a hundred and a few dozens.

Loss is serious!

However, these more than 20,000 volumes of rare ancient books are treasures inherited from the thousands of years of Chinese civilization. Many ancient inventions that may have become extinct, as well as secrets that have not been recorded in historical records, are all recorded in them. However, Liu Dong is not a historian.

, so although he is very fond of these rare ancient books, he has no intention of studying them. He will leave it to professionals to study after the museum is completed!

In addition to these calligraphy and paintings, inscriptions and rare ancient books, there are also more than 100 murals and more than 200 pieces of rulers and tablets. The Japanese have preserved them quite well, and the murals should come from Dunhuang and the Kizil Grottoes. Although there are not many, they are very important.

It may have been confiscated by the Japanese after they ransacked their homes, because during World War II, the Japanese troops from the China Expeditionary Force did not cross Shaanxi!

There are approximately 30,000 pieces of paintings, murals, prints, calligraphy, rulers and tablets, and inscriptions!

In addition to the porcelain mentioned before, among the precious works of art plundered by the Japanese are more than 500 pieces of bronze ware, distributed in various dynasties from Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, to the Spring and Autumn Warring States and Qin and Han dynasties!

And there are more than a hundred pieces of precious Yin Ruins oracle bones!

There are more than 600 pieces of jade, especially one of the Tang Dynasty dragon-carved jade cups made of Hotan mutton fat jade, which is a treasure. Very few Tang Dynasty jade cups exist in the world, and every Tang Dynasty jade cup that appears is a national treasure! More

The most rare thing is that the carving of this jade cup is very extraordinary, and it is quite large, with a height of 20 centimeters and a diameter of nearly 12 centimeters. It is extremely rare!

There are more than 300 pieces of lacquerware, most of which date from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Although they are all very precious, and many are even tributes from the royal families of the three dynasties, there is nothing that can be called a national treasure.

There are only more than 250 pieces of enamelware, excluding porcelain bodies, glass bodies, Yixing bodies and original palace display items. Among them, there are more than 157 pieces of filigree enamelware and nearly 93 pieces of painted enamelware. The most precious one is a 45 cm high Yuan Dynasty ware.

Cloisonné enamel elephant ear stove with entwined lotus pattern!

There are 378 pieces of gold and silverware, and there are only 65 pieces of gold. The most precious one is a blond hair tower from the Qing Dynasty, but it is only 98 centimeters tall. Although it is also inlaid with precious gems such as turquoise, red sapphire, and cat's eye, its value is still

Not as good as the Qianlong Golden Tower hidden in the Forbidden City!

542 bamboo and wood ivory horns, 192 bamboo ware, 287 wood ware, 163 ivory horn ware, Yuan Dynasty boxwood, 67 cm high Guan Gong statue, Ming and Zhu Sansong bamboo landscape brush holders, only five ivory mats in existence

One of them is a treasure.

There are 1867 pieces of writing utensils, 278 pieces of writing brushes, 304 pieces of ink, 678 pieces of paper and silk, 347 square inkstones, 131 pieces of miscellaneous documents and 129 pieces of seal materials. In addition to treasures such as 'Li Mo' and 'Chengxintang Paper',

Basically from the Song and Yuan Dynasties to the late Qing Dynasty, precious study utensils were basically available here.

There are 233 pieces of glassware, 121 pieces of jewelry and bonsai, as well as a small number of ancient artifacts, clocks, ancient coins and valuable furniture, as well as a few royal items. The total number is about 889 pieces!

In addition, there are 233 large and small stone Buddha statues and 189 inscriptions on tablets!

In the end, adding all the porcelain, calligraphy and paintings, etc. together, Liu Dong got nearly 40,000 antiques from this Japanese army treasure house!

According to the information Liu Dong obtained from Zhao Rongcheng's diary, these more than 40,000 precious antiques were only collected by the North China Expeditionary Army in the two years of 1944 and 1945!

As for how many precious works of art were looted by the Japanese during the eight-year war of resistance, just look at the name "Japan is the country with the largest collection of Chinese works of art abroad" to know the result! Even if there are not millions of pieces, it is estimated that there are five or six

There should be 100,000 pieces!

In order to organize and record more than 40,000 antiques, Liu Dong worked non-stop for three days. Fortunately, it was him, otherwise ordinary people would have been unable to bear it!

However, after three days and three nights of busy work, Liu Dong could not help but feel the slightest fatigue from the huge harvest, and he was even still extremely excited!

With this harvest, he will have the collection to open a museum in the future!

"The scenery of the North, thousands of miles of ice, thousands of miles of snow, looking at the inside and outside of the Great Wall...!" After Liu Dong recorded and archived the last piece of 'copper-plated writer's clock' and packed everything away, he couldn't help but look at Dongfang Chu.

The morning sun was rising, and he loudly recited the term "Chairman" with great enthusiasm. At this moment, he had never felt that his plan to rebuild the Yuanmingyuan Museum was as within reach as now!

In a few days in the second half of February, Liu Dong took care of the matters in Quancheng, and after appeasing Wang Qiang and Yan Qingqing, he took Mu Gang and Ma Chao on a plane to the capital. As for Lin Ling

, because of the relatively chaotic situation in Myanmar, Liu Dong did not take her with him!

"Xiaodong, here!"

"Brother Zhou!" Looking at Zhou Bin who was standing outside the station waving, Liu Dong strode over with a smile on his face.

"Mu Gang is here too?" After greeting Liu Dong, Zhou Bin asked with a smile as he looked at the super strong man following behind him with a strong oppressive force.

After the two of them greeted each other, Liu Dong said: "I am not familiar with the place I am going to Myanmar this time. It will be easier to deal with an accident if I bring more manpower!"

Hearing this, Zhou Bin also nodded in agreement.

"Who is this?"

"Oh, this is Ma Chao, Brother Mu's registered disciple!" Liu Dong introduced.
