Chapter 1672

I asked in surprise: "Why?"

She said: "The thing I mentioned earlier is a bit like a fairy tale. At the beginning, I was not completely determined to go abroad and travel around the world, because I didn't want to die in a foreign country. One day I went there On a mountain, I wanted to find a farmhouse to live in, and then wait there quietly for death. But when I got to the mountain, I found that there was a nunnery there, so I went in. I told the abbot there that I wanted to I wanted to become a monk, but they didn't agree. I said I was willing to donate all my property, but they still didn't agree. At that time, I asked why. The abbot told me several Buddhist stories in succession."

I asked: "What story?"

She immediately told me the story the abbot told her——

The first story: A man went to worship Sakyamuni Buddha and took two bouquets of flowers in his hand. The Buddha said: Put them down. The man put down the flowers in his left hand. The Buddha said again: Put them down. He put down the flowers in his right hand again. The Buddha said again : Let go. The man was confused and asked the Buddha, "I can't let go anymore." The Buddha said: Let go of your attachments until there is nothing left to let go of.

The second story: A man passed by a cliff and accidentally fell into a deep ravine. He grabbed the branches of the cliff with both hands. He was hanging in the air, not knowing what to do. Suddenly he saw the Buddha standing on the cliff, looking at him. The man begged the Buddha. Said: "Buddha! Please be merciful and save me! "I can save you, but you must listen to me before I can save you." The Buddha said. "At this point, how dare I disobey you?" The man said, "Then please put down your hand that is clinging to the branch!" Buddha said. This person thought that if he let go of his hand, he would surely fall into a pit of ten thousand feet and fall to pieces. Is there still life there? So he held on to the branch even more. .The Buddha saw that this man was stubborn and had no choice but to leave.

The third story: One day, the old monk took the young monk out to beg for alms and came back. They passed a small river. The water rose and there was no bridge. A girl wanted to cross but was afraid of the depth of the water. The old monk carried the girl across the river. Back to the temple, The young monk asked, Master, didn't you say that men and women cannot be intimate? Then why do you carry someone? The old monk said that I put the woman down after I carried her across the river. Why haven't you put her down now?

The fourth story: There was a senior monk who had a dog named: "Put it down". Whenever he went to bed, he always called his dog to come to him, and shouted: "Put it down! Put it down!!" Put it down!!!" The disciple was puzzled: "Master, Master, why do you have to call 'Put it down' every day when you go to bed?" The eminent monk replied: "Actually, I am not calling the dog, I am asking myself to put it down! It’s very possible that I won’t be able to see ‘Let It Go’ tomorrow after this sleep.”

The fifth story: A guest visited the Zen Master. He forgot to bring a gift when he came, and he felt very embarrassed, so he said, "I came empty-handed." The Zen Master said to him, "Then just put it down!" The guest was puzzled. So he said again: "I didn't bring anything with me, how can I put it down?" "Then just take it with you!" the Zen master said. The guest suddenly realized. Don't put too much psychological burden on yourself in life. If you know how to let go, you can feel relieved.

After hearing this, I said: "The abbot actually wanted you to let it go. You are willing to donate your family property to the nunnery, so why are you saying you can't let it go?"

She said: "Yes. I thought so at the time. But they didn't want me, so I had no choice but to leave."

I thought of what she said earlier about her experience being like a fairy tale, so I asked, "What happens next?"

She immediately laughed, "Then I woke up. It turned out that I had a dream. When I woke up, I found myself in a farmer's house. It turned out that I had just passed out when I arrived on the mountain.

Later, someone from the farmer's family carried me home. When I woke up, it was the third day I went up the mountain. The hostess of the farmer's family said that I had a high fever and was talking nonsense. But when I woke up,

Immediately afterwards, I felt much more comfortable and my spirit became particularly good. Now I understand that the thing in my dream was the Bodhisattva enlightening me. She meant that I couldn’t let it go, so she wouldn’t let me go.

Go to the Western Paradise. Feng Xiao, I am thinking now, in fact, the life I live every day is not the Paradise? Especially last night, you let me go there once. "

It turned out to be a dream! I couldn't help but smile bitterly. I said, "Have you heard or read those Buddhist stories before?"

She was startled for a moment, "Maybe. But I had no impression of it before that."

At this time, I suddenly remembered something, "Zhong Feng, I think your recovery is probably related to your fever."

She asked me in surprise: "Why?"

I said: "Fever in the human body is actually the function of our body's immune system. When our body is invaded by harmful bacteria, our immune system will be activated, and a large number of lymphocytes and phagocytes will appear in the blood.

White blood cells will also increase, and their role is to destroy these harmful bacteria. For example, the pus in our wounds is actually the corpse left behind by the white blood cells in our body during the process of killing bacteria, so the pus protects our body.

Where is the corpse of the hero? In addition, in the process of killing bacteria, these cells may also play a role in killing cancer cells in our bodies. Therefore, we as doctors believe that a person's fever several times a year is harmful to the body.

It’s beneficial, that way we can clean up some of the cancerous cells in our body.”

She kept laughing, "I don't believe it. If this is really the case, wouldn't it be possible to cure cancer by making our bodies fever in some way? Cancer is still an incurable disease now. I am just an accident, just like you

As I said before, maybe I am more sensitive to your machine."

I said: "Maybe. But what you just said is right, because some people are indeed studying the feasibility of artificially creating fever to cure some diseases. However, fever is a double-edged sword. If it is not controlled well, it will be harmful to the body.

On the contrary, it is harmful. Zhong Feng, maybe you are really lucky. The effects of the fever and the effects of my machine have been effective on you. So, I hope you can be more open-minded about everything. In your dream

Didn't the abbot tell you that you should be good at letting go...Ah, by the way, Zhong Feng, where did you say that mountain is? Take me to see it when you have time."

She asked me puzzledly: "What are you going to do?"

I found that I had become a bit superstitious now, and I said: "Maybe the place where you were unconscious used to be a nunnery. It's hard to say. Then we will go and have a look, and then ask the people around us. If

If that's the case, it's really a fairy tale. Then you and I should go there and rebuild a temple."

She said: "Yes, why didn't I think about this before? Feng Xiao, I had that dream. How come the matter of building the temple became me and you?"

I laughed, "Now that I heard what you said today, and then I reminded you, this is fate. Do you think so?"

She smiled and said: "That makes sense. So tell me, when should we go?"

I thought about it and said, "Let's wait until this year's enrollment is over."

But she said: "After hearing what you said just now, I can't wait. Are you really so busy recently?"

I asked her: "Where is that mountain?"

She said: "If you drive, it's more than three months and hours from the provincial capital."

I thought about it and said, "Three days later. I will have one day free then."

She was very happy, "That's great." (To be continued)
