Chapter 1 Mystery

In the middle of July, Jiangzhou entered the rainy period in autumn, and the rain was already a bit cool. The Xuanmiao Mountain outside Jiangzhou City was shrouded in the rain, becoming more and more green, and the two Taoist temples at the foot of the mountain were looming.

Just like other places, where there are mountains, there are immortals, and there are Xuanmiao Temples in Xuanmiao Mountains, but there are different sizes of Xuanmiao Temples.

The Big Xuanmiao Temple is located at the foot of the mountain. It was first built in the Jin Dynasty. It has two gates, three halls, and a stage. The Little Xuanmiao Temple is located on the mountainside and is built against the mountain. It only has a mountain gate and one hall. It is small but has a beautiful scenery.

The same thing is that both Taoist temples are Kun Taoists. The big Xuanmiao temple has a temple master fairy and five female disciples. The small Xuanmiao temple originally only had one temple master fairy, but in the past few years, it adopted two orphan girls as children.

Although Xuanmiao Mountain is beautiful, it is not a famous mountain and scenic spot. Logically speaking, in a place like this, one Taoist temple is enough, but there are two Taoist temples. The popularity can be imagined, especially because one Taoist temple has a bad reputation.

A short, fat, thick-skinned woman rushed into the mountain gate and saw a fairy girl walking through the corridor. She was as jealous as if she had seen an enemy.

"Shameless little bald donkey, I'll beat you..." the woman shouted and rushed over.

The fairy girl looked calm, obviously she was used to it.

"Good man, we are here at the Great Xuanmiao Temple," she said with a salute. "Are you looking for the Small Xuanmiao Temple?"

The fist that was about to hit Xian Gu's head stopped, and the woman gasped and stared for a moment.

"None of you are any good anyway!" she finally said, turned around and ran out.

The fairy looked at the woman's back and smiled helplessly. A fairy in her forties walked out of the hall, and she hurriedly stepped forward to salute.

"Guanzhu," she said.

The spectator nodded.

"Master of the Temple, if we let that little Xuanmiao Temple do all the nonsense, our reputation will be ruined." The Fairy Girl said with a bitter smile.

The viewer sighed.

"What can we do? That is the Cheng family's concept of offering food. It does not rely on incense. Besides, with the support of the Cheng family, there is nothing we can do." She said, standing on the corridor and looking towards the direction of the mountain. "It's just a pity. That's good.

place."

A rolling thunder passed through the sky, scaring the Taoist nun so much that she covered her ears.

"There have been more and more thunders recently," she said.

"What year is it not like this?" the viewer said with a smile, and she turned around and went in.

The Taoist nun once again looked at half of the Taoist temple exposed halfway up the mountain.

"It's like this every year, why doesn't lightning strike it?" she muttered.

"My great-great-grandfather set up this place back then. He prayed for his wife and invited the fairy from Qingcheng Mountain to take charge. Everything went smoothly." The girl said, "It is more effective than the Great Mysterious Temple at the foot of the mountain, so I forgot my real name.

It’s called Xiaoxuanmiao Temple.”

The wind carrying the rain was a bit chilly. She stretched out her hand to close the window. The crow-green curtains that were blown by the wind became quiet, and the figure behind them was clearly revealed.

The girl lifted up the curtain and walked over, looking at Cheng Jiaoniang who was reading quietly as usual. While reading, she slowly moved one hand on the sofa.

It can't be said that one day has passed. Compared with the past, the lady's writing hand movements have become much smoother.

After finishing writing a line of words, Cheng Jiaoniang stopped.

"Isn't it the fairy girl from Qingcheng Mountain who is in charge now?" she asked.

"Of course not. It happened a hundred years ago. Doesn't that mean he really became an immortal?" The girl smiled, knelt down and held a glass of water. "Later, the immortal aunt passed away and couldn't find anyone for a while. The Cheng family ran out of water because of digging rivers.

The Taoist temple fell into disuse due to our family's wealth, but it was renovated when the old man was still here. The current temple owner is a woman from our Cheng family, from Nancheng, who volunteered to practice, so she came here."

Cheng Jiaoniang was silent for a moment. When she entered the door that day, she was naturally greeted by the patron. However, the patron was busy talking to the lady in charge and did not come to her. She glanced at her in a daze. She was thirty-four or five years old and looked good.

Not very good, but his eyes are clever and graceful.

The thoughts in my mind are turning over and over again.

"Yeah." Cheng Jiaoniang just said.

The girl dared to continue talking only after receiving the answer.

"Madam, do you want some snacks? There are fresh tangerines for sale at the foot of the mountain. I bought a small handful," she said.

Cheng Jiaoniang was silent for a moment while holding the book in her hand.

The girl knew she was thinking, so she remained silent.

"Wrap it in glutinous rice and eat it," Cheng Jiaoniang said.

What the lady said about eating was always something she had never heard of before, but the girl had no doubts.

"Okay." The girl said with a smile, "Madam, tell me what should I do?"

Xiaoxuanmiao Temple is built on the mountain and has a limited area. In addition to the mountain gate and the main hall, there are wing rooms on the left and right, and two round holes to enter. The temple owner and two children live there, and Cheng Jiaoniang and the girl live here.

, each has its own fire, and has nothing to do with each other.

When the girl walked over here, two children were cleaning the weeds and dead leaves from the water spout in the rain. The robes they wore were made from old clothes and were soaked through. They were so thin that they looked very thin.

"Why don't you hold an umbrella?" she couldn't help but ask.

The sound alarmed the children. They stood up in panic and looked at the girl holding an umbrella who came over timidly and did not dare to say anything.

"It's not raining heavily, so the two of us were lazy and worked together for so long." A female voice came from inside the house, and someone came out immediately.

The viewer looked at the two children with a smile on his face.

"Why don't you go make a fire and cook!" she shouted.

The two children ran away in panic.

The viewer then looked at the girl again and smiled.

"What are your orders, madam?" she asked.

"Come and borrow some candy from Fairy Girl." The girl said. She felt uncomfortable facing the viewer's smile for some reason. To make a long story short.

"Whatever you are talking about, they are all from the Cheng family." The viewer smiled, turned around and went in to take out a few pieces of candy.

The girl thanked her and turned to leave. She held up her umbrella to look at the road. She accidentally bumped into someone at the entrance of the courtyard. When she looked up, she saw a tall, thick-set man wearing a raincoat and a bamboo hat.

The girl was startled.

This is a female cultivator, why did a man come in?

"Firewood seller, you're here, why didn't you bring firewood yesterday?" the visitor said afterward.

Firewood seller? The girl lowered her head, feeling unscrupulous eyes looking at her, and walked away in a hurry.

"I just came to tell the fairy that the weather is bad and yesterday's firewood is gone. I will definitely send it tomorrow."

A man's rough voice came from behind him. When he came to his side and closed the courtyard door, the voice was no longer heard.

After watching the courtyard door close, the man looked away and looked into the eyes of the viewer, who looked like a smile but not a smile.

"You can't even pull it out?" the temple owner said, leaning against the door, his face a bit lazy and enchanting, and there was no trace of the cultivation he had just done.

The man chuckled and put his arms around the viewer.

"It's just tender and doesn't look good," he said.

The spectator curled his lips.

"Is this the lady who was sent here?" the man asked, "I heard that I came here specially to have a look. I'm afraid it will be inconvenient to come here in the future, right?"

"That lady is a fool, she is just a girl." The visitor smiled and turned around to enter the room. "If there is any inconvenience, if you don't want to come, just say you don't want to come."

The man chuckled and followed closely, closing the door behind him.

"..This girl is too ugly, not as good as the two children you raise here..."

"..I know what you're craving for, but you have to wait. You're still too young..."

The laughter of a man and a woman could be heard through the window. Two children in the kitchen were shivering with their heads lowered and hugging their knees. The fire in the stove had been lit, but it seemed that it could not dispel the chill on their bodies. (To be continued)
