More than a thousand years ago, King Trisong Dezhen of Tibet invited the Indian Guru Padmasambhava to Tibet to spread the Dharma, which was a landmark event for Buddhism. Later, King Trisong Dezhen requested from Guru Rinpoche
Initiation and teachings, it is said that at Qingpu in the retreat above Samye Monastery, Guru Rinpoche opened the mandala of the eight great Heruka rituals and taught the Dharma to the nine heart sons, including King Tibet.
The Eight Great Heruka Ritual is the Eight Great Good Death Dharma Conduct Ritual, which meditates on the eight wrathful deities in a form-based way; and the heart sons are the heart disciples. In the ritual, the nine heart sons are each given a different inheritance.
Everyone practices according to the Dharma and achieves success.
The Nine Heart Sons Mandala mentioned by Monk Wenda is the mandala used by Master Padmasambhava in this teaching ceremony. This matter is recorded in the biography of Master Padmasambhava and many Buddhist classics, but this altar
The city has never been seen, which is a mystery in Buddhism. Many Buddhist monks believe that this is a legend and not true.
If what Wenda said is true, then the significance of this mandala is definitely no less than Xuanci’s Golden Bowl of Enlightenment, or even more important! This is not a question of the power of the mandala itself, but of the inheritance and recording of the Buddha’s teachings.
A major discovery and compensation, especially for Tubo, this mandala is comparable to a sacred object!
Three great monks in the Bodhisattva realm asked at the same time: "Are you sure?"
Wen Da hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said: "I dare not say 100%, but it is 80% likely to be the Nine Heart Son Dharma Mandala."
Luoyuan is the head of the Bodhi Hall. He knows the situation of the deacon monks in the hall quite well. He knows that although Wenda is not in a high level of cultivation, he has always had a sharp vision and is very familiar with the Buddhist anecdotes. Since he dares to say 80%, it should be 99%.
.
The more senior a monk is, the more important he is to such objects related to inheritance and enlightenment. Li Yuan couldn't sit still and immediately stood up and said: "Let's go to Guanyi again!" He wanted to go and check it in person.
Hongdao and Xuansheng also stood up at the same time, wanting to follow Yuan and go there together, but Mingjue said: "The three masters will wait a moment."
Hongdao and other monks stopped and looked at Mingjue. Mingjue said hurriedly: "We finally got Master Xuanci's golden bowl of enlightenment. Now there is another nine-heart son teaching mandala, but we don't know what else to take."
Change?"
The three great Bodhisattva monks calmed down, looked at each other, and sat down slowly. Mingjue continued: "Senior Brother Wenda saw the clues about this thing just now, but I thought Taoist Zhao still didn't understand. No wonder, if it weren't for Senior Brother Wenda
Deacon Bodhi Hall for many years, ordinary people can't see it, at least I can't. Therefore, the young monk thinks that this matter should be discussed in the long term. Before making a final decision, it is better not to let Taoist Zhao know too much... Even so, I'm afraid
He was also 'alarmed' just now."
Liaoyuan praised: "Mingjue said it well and did it well. If the details are revealed, I'm afraid it will be even more troublesome."
Mingjue said hurriedly: "The young monk has been dealing with this Taoist Zhao for a long time, and he has some knowledge of his character. If Taoist Zhao knows the value of this thing, I am afraid it will cause a big problem for my Tianlong Academy."
Wen Da immediately said in annoyance: "It's all Xiao Monk's fault... Fortunately, Junior Brother Mingjue stopped me, and Xiao Monk almost said it out loud at that time."
Hongdao was slightly excited and said: "This mandala must be kept. It is a sacred object of our Buddhism. It is extremely important to promote Buddhism in Tianlongyuan! It has filled in the first step of Master Padmasambhava's teaching. Junior Brother Luoyuan,
Do you have any good Taoist items in your Bodhi Hall? Let’s plan it properly first.”
Liaoyuan shook his head and sighed: "In order to exchange for the rainbow body, I have already taken out many objects such as the Danding, the treasure wings, etc., and when I saw the golden bowl, I gave him the "Promise Picture"... "The Promise Picture" just
Taking it out, the Ming Envoy found another Nine Heart Son Dharma Mandala, one after another, really endless... What should we do? I don't know how many Buddhist treasures he has hidden in him...
"
Mingjue thought: "The young monk went to Wudang Mountain this time to watch the Taoist Master Zhang Da's Ascension Ceremony. Taoist Master Zhao is the chief ritual officer of the ceremony, and he must have a close relationship with Master Zhang. The cave in the Sutra Temple was discovered by Master Zhang, and he must have learned from it.
It is reasonable to give many Buddhist treasures to Taoist Master Zhao."
With this explanation, everyone understood and sighed: "When I took over the Red Plains, why didn't I discover this cave?"
All the monks were silent. After a moment, Hongdao said in relief: "Fortunately, we have added a condition. We can send people to pay homage to Shujing Temple. Then we must carefully check whether there are any omissions."
Mingjue added: "Now it seems that what Taoist Master Zhao is looking for is another "Picture of the Ten Sons of Xuanyuan". If you have this picture, you will be somewhat sure about changing to the mandala. But you must also think carefully.
The method of exchange must at least not let him know the importance of the mandala, otherwise Taoist Master Zhao may even have to 'make orders' for the young monk..."
So the monks thought hard about the solution, discussed it over and over again, and came to the conclusion that they could only exchange things. Tomorrow, they would make a decision based on the fate, and see clearly whether the Jiuxinzi Dharma Mandala was genuine or not, and then consider the exchange after confirming it.
objects and methods.
Finally, Liao Yuan smiled bitterly and said: "If this envoy wants to bring out any other holy objects, I'm afraid I will have to break the rules and prevent him from going back."
In the early morning of August 16th, Zhao Ran, fully dressed, joined Zhang Juzheng, who was also in official uniform and majestic, and walked towards Tianlong Academy under the escort of eighteen monks from Tianlong Academy, officers from the Imperial City Division and hundreds of sergeants from the Yiwei Division.
It starts from Guanyi, along the north bank of Jinbo Lake, passes Chongyifang, passes Jietai Temple, East Thirteen Wings, North Wazi, and ends at Tianlongyuan.
Along the way, wherever we passed through streets and markets, believers were kneeling on both sides of the road, burning incense and praying, and the incense was like clouds.
When we arrived at Tianlongyuan, there was already a sea of people here. Fortunately, the Imperial City Division had already cleared the road, and a large group of people surrounded Zhao Ran and Zhang Juzheng and entered Tianlongyuan.
Mingjue led the way in front, followed closely by the eighteen monks around him. They turned several turns along the pavilion corridor and entered a magnificent hall.
In the center are three huge Buddha statues about three feet high, with shining golden light and flowing brilliance. Each of them is covered with red silk cassocks. They are the main hall of Tianlongyuan.
In the middle is Sakyamuni Buddha in the central Saha world, on the left is Medicine Buddha in the eastern glazed world, and on the right is Amitabha Buddha in the western paradise world. On both sides of these three great Buddhas are two attendants.
Sakyamuni Buddha is accompanied by Manjushri and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Medicine Buddha is accompanied by Sunlight Bodhisattva and Moonlight Bodhisattva, and Amitabha is accompanied by Guanyin Bodhisattva and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva.
In addition, there are statues of Eighteen Arhats enshrined around the main hall, and various Buddhist stories depicted on the murals and carved beams are lifelike.
Hundreds of eminent monks stood in the hall, all looking at Zhao Ran, and more than ten ministers followed him, among them were the deputy privy envoy Ye Li Wangrong, the censor Zhongcheng Fei Tingqingxia, and the Xingqing Mansion.
Gao Huai'en, the governor of Kaifeng, and others.
