192 Tower Island Commune

Bolu took a deep breath, took a step forward, and stepped onto the high platform in front of him nervously.

Behind him is the dock where the general cargo ship was built. The general cargo ship has been completed and is now floating in the dock filled with water.

In front of him were all the workers on Ta Island. They were looking at him with a mixture of confusion and expectation.

Originally, Polu was reluctant to engage in such a ceremony. After all, gathering everyone from the factory here would be a huge delay, and standing up to speak to so many people was actually a psychological test.

But after thinking about it, there are still some things that need to be announced.

He took a deep breath:

"It has not been long since we came to Ta Island. During this period, Ta Island was in a rush of construction. Everyone put in a lot of effort, and finally, Ta Island has the production capacity again! Behind me

This cargo ship is proof of that! I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone!”

"You must have some doubts about our future, especially not knowing what kind of home we will build. Some people say that I am planning to build a kingdom? Right?"

"Optimists think I will build a kingdom of alchemists, pessimists think I will turn everyone into slave workers locked in factories."

"That's not the case! One year ago today, I was just an ordinary person like you all. The reason why I can stand here is not because I became an alchemist, but because you support me! Everyone here,

You all believe in me, support me, and follow me to Ta Island. Why do I need to turn you into slave labor? There is no doubt that everyone is a free person! Moreover! There will never be slave labor in the future.

!”

At this point, the workers in the audience seemed to let go of their worries a little, and the optimists began to smile. This smile seemed to be extremely contagious and began to spread quickly among the crowd.

Polu held the podium and leaned forward, saying word by word: "Perhaps you don't really care about what kind of political system we adopt, and feel that it has nothing to do with you. Anyway, no matter what, we are doing it."

Live to eat, right?”

"This is not right. The political system seems to be intangible and invisible, and it is far away from everyone's daily life, but it is actually closely related. To put it simply, I think everyone would rather be a free person than have a burden on their head.

A few noble lords exist, right? I don’t want to either! So I don’t want to be that noble lord you don’t want!”

"So our Tower Island will have neither kings nor nobles in the future! Your managers must be because they have the corresponding abilities! Not because they are born to manage you."

"It's normal not to understand at the moment. I can only say some simple things here. There are some things that I can't explain in a few words. I just hope that you have opinions and ideas, and that you can have channels to put them forward and have someone to discuss them!"

"We are now discussing matters on Ta Island. I think this is good, and I plan to fix this format. It is not just a discussion between a few people, but also a discussion by the majority of people. Let more people

People get involved and let more people know why we are doing this.”

"Therefore, when we have any major issues to discuss in the future, we will hold a meeting to let you, or people you believe in, express your opinions. This meeting is the Tower Island Council! As for the detailed steps, we will wait for it later.

Let’s discuss slowly.”

"Tower Island is now not subject to the control of anywhere else! It is a place that completely belongs to us! It is already a completely independent country!"

"But as a group, we still have some problems that need to be solved! For example, what should we call our group? If we don't have our own name, others may think that we are a group affiliated with the Master and lose our free status. So I

I chose a name without permission as a temporary name for our group! Ta Island Commune! If you have any ideas, you can put them forward after the meeting!"

"Today's conference is over, everyone can go back to work! Thank you everyone!"

What kind of political system, management, etc. made the workers dizzy when they heard it. Now they finally understood this sentence and cheered warmly!

Although they don't have many doubts about their identity in their hearts, after all, the concept of country has not yet penetrated into everyone's heart, and perhaps there is only a vague concept that is not clear.

In their opinion, this is just the name of their town, this island, and this homeland. But no matter what, it is still satisfying to confirm this!

Taking into account the cultural level of most of the people present, Polu did not introduce too many complex concepts. All his speeches focused on only four sentences:

1. There was no king before, and there will never be one in the future.

2. Discuss and deal with anything.

3. It is a completely independent country.

4.This country is called Ta Dao Commune.

In fact, looking at the reaction of the people in the audience, they probably didn't understand it at all. Even if they understood the part, it was only the beginning and the end.

Seeing that the ceremony was over, Smith looked at little Irene: "What on earth are Polu talking about? Is it so complicated?"

"That we are already a completely independent country."

"I understand this. I think no one has any objection to this. We all almost guessed that such a day would come. What we don't understand is that there is no king and there is no meeting here."

"I just said what he wrote was too complicated!"

Little Eileen sighed and recalled what Bolu said when he was thinking hard about deleting large sections of the manuscript: "Probably, if anything happens in the future, it will be the same as now, we will discuss it and deal with it. If the matter is serious, we will start it."

Do you want to discuss holding a conference?"

"Hey, it's just such a small matter. Do you need to talk about it? It's just as complicated as it is now."

Geora, who was listening on the side, also came forward.

Little Eileen could only continue to explain:

"There is still something different. What Polu means is that since we have suffered enough from the nobility, we will have neither a kingdom nor a nobility in the future. In fact, everyone is equal and enjoys full human rights.

Rights, the key point is this. His manuscript originally had a long section about rights and obligations, but he was worried that the explanation of the concept would be too complicated, so he simply deleted it and can only explain it later."

Now the two of them were even more confused: "What are the rights of a complete human being? Rights? Obligations?"

"I know my obligations, just pay taxes."

"Without kings and nobles, is it similar to what the mages in Esodu do?"

Several people started discussing in a whirlwind manner.

Little Eileen covered her forehead after listening for a while:

"Looking at your reactions, I know it was right to delete it."

Case also secretly glanced at the knights standing not far away: "They are genuine nobles, don't you have any objections?"

"If they had the same way of thinking as the nobles, would they come to Tower Island with us? Don't worry, we have already discussed it beforehand. Look how calm they are now."

Little Eileen laughed as she spoke.

"Even you can't understand. If you really want to talk like this, how can the workers understand? It doesn't matter. Polu will explain it to you slowly later. When you understand it, he will explain it to your workers slowly."

"But when we first came out, I thought we were going to work for the mages for the rest of our lives. Now that we know we can set up one ourselves, it's good."

"Don't worry, we will be working for the mages soon, and we are collecting money now."

Several people gathered in a circle showed subtle smiles.
