169: World Tree Changes (Part 2)

Joel wandered around Asgard for a while according to his memory, and soon found a rainbow bridge made of fire, water, and air, with many soldiers standing at the head of the bridge holding weapons.

He walked all the way down the Rainbow Bridge and could see the clouds floating on both sides of the bridge. Many birds were chirping happily around him. The clouds and mist hid his figure under Asgard.

The Rainbow Bridge is not too long, the surrounding clouds and fog gradually thinned out, and the birds no longer surrounded his body. Joel successfully reached the end of the bridge.

The bridgehead is guarded by human warriors. This is the Miegarer, the human kingdom.

The smoke of fireworks in the atrium is much stronger than that of Asgard in the sky. Joel can also hear vendors selling goods on the street. A human girl is picking up jewelry on the stall. She is about the same age as the one next to her.

The handsome man spoke, and the girl smiled with light in her eyes, and there was sweetness hidden in her two dimples.

Joel inexplicably remembered the appearance of Haylis.

After leaving Asgard and the Rainbow Bridge, Joel felt that his body suddenly felt much lighter, and there was wind under his feet when he walked.

An idea came to his mind, and he thought about the destination Jotunheim based on the memory in Odin's mind, then spun around and used phantom.

There was a crisp sound, and Joel disappeared out of thin air.

When he reappeared, he had already set foot on a piece of damp land. The surrounding trees were unusually tall. Each one was more than ten meters tall. A palm-sized moth flew leisurely past Joel's face, and it was farther away.

From somewhere, the sound of spring water jingling in the middle of winter can be heard.

This is Jotunheim, the country of frost giants, and all the creatures living here are several times larger in size.

Joel just tried it, but he didn't expect that he could actually perform Apparition. This process did not require a wand at all. Joel looked back at the mountains in the distance. It was far away from the end of the Rainbow Bridge.

It's hundreds or thousands of kilometers away, but Joel can easily reach it by controlling Odin, and the magic power in his body is still abundant.

Is this a monster?

Joel was convinced that even Dumbledore couldn't have done this without the help of a wand and his pet Fawkes.

This is good news. Joel has mastered many magic spells that have only been developed and used in modern times. In the context of Norse mythology, Joel is undoubtedly a trump card.

Joel was thinking about the problem when a huge body suddenly appeared in front of him, filling his entire field of vision.

"Odin, what are you doing in Jotunheim?" The giant's voice was like thunder. His huge body slowly squatted down, allowing Joel to see his face clearly. His facial features were extremely ugly, and his face looked like someone had killed him.

It looked like he had been slapped with an iron pot. His muscles were all tangled, and he looked like he was seven meters tall.

"Mimir spring water," Joel responded, "I need it."

Mimir Spring, the second root of the World Tree is rooted here. It is the legendary spring of wisdom. It is said that as long as you drink a sip of the spring water, you will have wisdom. It has the connotation of Ravenclaw's crown.

The name of the giant guarding the spring was Mimir. He was stunned for two seconds after hearing Joel's words, and laughed loudly. The dull sound scared the sparrows on the branches nearby, and the birds, which were the size of the computer screen, flapped their wings and flew away.

"Odin," the giant Mimir suppressed his smile, "we giants and the gods have sworn hatred, how can you actually make such a request in front of me?"

Joel can find a lot in common with modern magical society in Nordic mythology - they generally have a very bad relationship with giants.

Joel has his own inference. William said before that the true identities of the Odin gods are wizards. Does the human empire in the atrium refer to ordinary Muggles? The relationship between giants and gods (wizards) is the same as that in later generations, and the contradictions are getting worse.

It has long been irreconcilable...

Norse mythology is just a collection of stories from the magical world covered in layers of skin.

"If you have any requests, just ask." Joel was not surprised by this. He was familiar with Norse mythology and knew the direction of the story. "I will not refuse."

Mimir stared at Joel closely, "Use one of your eyes to exchange for a cup of Mimir spring water."

"No problem." Joel readily agreed. So far, everything is going according to the script.

Mimir took out an original dagger from behind his butt and handed it to Joel.

Joel always felt unsafe in his hand. Will gouging his eyes with a dagger that still smells like a giant's body cause infection?

"Don't be stunned," Mimir said in a low voice, "do it quickly!"

Joel didn't hesitate anymore and started directly.

Pain and blood spread along the eyeballs. Joel covered his right eye and squatted on the ground, letting out a suppressed cry of pain.

The strength of this body was beyond imagination, but it still couldn't bear such pain. Joel's hands trembled in pain, and blood flowed down his cheeks onto the grass and soil, leaving a charming red color on them.

Mimir complied with the agreement and handed over a glass of spring water.

Joel looked at the boundless clear spring water and drank from it.

At that moment, he felt that the world had opened a new door for him. It was like opening the curtains and seeing the first ray of sunshine outside the window after countless speculative days and nights. Everything became transparent and clear, and it was inexplicable.

Feelings flood my mind.

At this moment, Joel felt that he was omnipotent and omniscient, and that the world was at his feet.

Immediately afterwards, the pain in his right eye swept through his whole body, dragging his swollen state of mind from mid-air.

Mimir picked up Joel's right eye from the ground and threw it into the spring. Joel followed behind the giant. At this moment, he could realize that he was still connected to the right eye. He

Trying to control his right eye to open, Odin's right eye slowly opened in the deep spring water.

In Norse mythology, the future can be glimpsed deep in the Mimir Spring, the spring of wisdom.

"Get out of here quickly, Odin." The giant urged, he was a little impatient.

Joel withdrew his gaze and controlled Odin's body to slowly leave the forest. He tried to cover his right eye with magic power. The endless light blue magic power condensed on it, and the wound gradually healed.

This made Joel lament the powerful magic power possessed by Odin. Such a luxurious move would never be possible in future generations.

The magic power in his body was still abundant, and he apparated to the edge of Jotunheim, where he could see the World Tree.

Joel doesn't know what he needs to do to return to the real world. He plans to advance the plot step by step according to the Norse mythology he knows and see if he can find a chance to leave.

In Norse mythology, Odin peered into the future in Jotunheim and knew that Ragnarok would occur in the future. He forged a spear named Gungnir and created runes.

The World Tree is extremely huge. One tree supports nine kingdoms, countless people, countless hills and deep forests, and just one branch is as thick as several people.

The abilities of the Odin gods are very outstanding. They can cast wandless and silent spells without relying on wands. Joel recalled the knife-cutting spell in later generations. The light blue wand flew out from his fingertips and landed on the World Tree.

Leaving a shallow white mark.

It seems this method doesn't work very well.

However, Joel, who drank from the Fountain of Wisdom, soon found a new way. He went to Niflheim, the deepest part of the World Tree, the Kingdom of Fog, which also has a more famous nickname, Nibelungen.

This place is surrounded by thick fog all day long, with no sunlight, and it is bone-chilling cold. It is the habitat of the dead.

He found an ice edge in the Nibelung roots that could corrupt the breath of life, brought it to the branches of the World Tree in Jotunheim, and used the ice edge and branches to dissolve it.

Under the erosion of the corrupting atmosphere, the branches quickly melted and separated, and a slender branch about two meters long was held in Joel's hand.

He sharpened a section of the branch. Now the branch looks like a javelin. This is not Gungnir's final form. Joel should also carve runes on it to maximize its power.
