026: Secret Passage

"Otherwise, I can help you with the Potions class," Caitlin suggested. "I don't ask you to have a correct attitude towards this subject. I just hope that you won't deduct points from the Academy in the Potions class."

.”

Joel and Eddie thought for a long time, but couldn't seem to find any reason to refute, so they could only agree to Caitlin's request to make up classes. She agreed to meet at the door of the library at 6:30 every Wednesday night.

Joel's mind was not focused on this matter. He was still thinking about how to sneak out of Hogwarts Castle over the weekend.

During lunch, he found his target person.

Joel got out from behind the Weasley twins, who were sitting side by side. He patted the right shoulder of the Weasley brother on the left, and then patted the left shoulder of the Weasley brother on the right.

"Don't touch me, George."

"You too, Fred, I almost spilled the stew on my napkin."

The Weasley brothers complained to each other, and then they saw Joel's head between their shoulders.

"We haven't seen each other for a few days, Mr. Weasley?" Joel greeted.

"Hey, who are you..." Fred's brain shut down for a while before he realized Joel's name, "Little Joel! We have missed you so much since we parted on the train!"

George also looked moved as if he were reunited after a long absence.

"Stop talking," Joel sighed and said with a grimace, "You two deceived me so badly back then."

"You lied to me that the sorting ceremony required fighting the Welsh Green Dragon. I almost fainted from nervousness while waiting for the sorting in the small room next to the auditorium!" Joel said exaggeratedly.

"Many freshmen were embarrassed when they saw me..." Joel said miserably.

"This..." The Weasley twins didn't expect Joel to be so miserable when he came up, and they ran out of ideas for a while.

"What do you want to do?" Fred turned his head and whispered.

Joel said seriously, "I have hypoglycemia, and sometimes I get flustered when I get up early for class. I heard that the Honeydukes candies in Hogsmeade are very good, and I want to buy some candies there."

"Hypoglycemia, what is that?" George frowned. Neither he nor Fred had ever heard of this term.

"On an empty stomach..." Joel still had to explain the causes and consequences of hypoglycemia to the two of them.

He had never learned anything about this before, and he struggled to explain it. The Weasley brothers were also confused.

"If you have symptoms of hypoglycemia in the morning, you have to eat two pieces of candy, otherwise you will feel very uncomfortable and may even faint, right?" George concluded.

Joel nodded sharply.

"If you want candies, I still have a lot of them in the dormitory, and I can give them to you as compensation." Fred made a suggestion.

"No, our tastes are different." Joel definitely couldn't accept this suggestion, so he wanted to find out the secret way out of Hogwarts Castle from the Weasley brothers.

After all, in the original book, the Weasley brothers can be said to be the most familiar with Hogwarts Castle among the upperclassmen.

"Ah..." George and Fred looked at each other, and the twin brothers hesitated.

"Hey! I was deceived by your lies before and couldn't stand up in front of everyone!" Upon seeing this, Joel quickly urged, trying to arouse the guilt of the two of them.

"We lied about the sorting ceremony, but I think you must have exaggerated the truth," George shook his head, "Katie!"

he suddenly shouted.

A tall and thin girl turned her head from across the long table, "What's wrong Fred?"

It was Katie Bell, whom Joel had met at the sorting ceremony.

"I'm George, have you met Joe before..." Before George could finish his words, Joel covered his mouth.

"I just want to go to Hogsmeade. All you two need to do is tell me the secret passage," Joel whispered in George's ear. "Otherwise, I'll tell Mr. Filch and ask him to stay after curfew."

Just to block you two at the door of the Gryffindor common room!"

"If you can, you two won't go back to the dormitory to sleep all night when you go out to explore!"

"You..." George and Fred on the side did not expect that Joel could come up with such a method. The Gryffindor common room is on the tower, and there is only one way in and out of the Fat Lady's portrait.

"Okay, okay..." The Weasley twins also figured it out. They were just telling Joel a secret passage to Hogsmeade. If he didn't let him get his wish, they wouldn't have to think about venturing out after curfew in the future.

.

"There is a statue of a one-eyed witch in the fourth-floor corridor near the west tower. Behind the statue is a passage leading to Hogsmeade."

"We agreed that you are not allowed to tell Filch secretly and ask him to wait and see." Fred asked Joel to promise.

"Of course, I have achieved my goal, why do I have to do such a thankless thing as reporting you?" What Joel said makes sense. The Weasley brothers looked at each other and sighed, and could only comfort themselves in their hearts.

This is to make up for the lie about the sorting ceremony.

After Joel obtained the location of the secret passage, he shared the news with Sergey, and the two of them agreed to go to Diagon Alley together on Saturday morning.

On Saturday morning, Joel and Sergey sat on the long table in the auditorium to fill their stomachs after being hungry all night.

"Try to eat as little as possible. We will have a long and rugged trip soon." Joel reminded kindly.

"Oh." Sergey nodded, ate two more slices of bread, and followed Joel up to the fourth floor of the castle.

In the corridor leading to the west tower, Joel indeed saw the one-eyed witch statue.

The witch was hunched over, and Joel pushed it sideways, revealing a passage behind it.

"Come on, the slope here is a bit steep, so be careful when walking." Joel and Sergey each walked into the passage holding a set of books.

After the two left, the one-eyed witch returned to her original position and continued to look ahead with her only eye, just as a ray of sunlight in the morning shone through the castle window and hit the statue's eyes.

Quiet and beautiful.

The passage was steep and long, and it took Joel and Sergey half an hour to walk to the end.

There was a ladder leading upwards at the end of the passage. Joel handed the book in his hand to Sergey, climbed up quickly with his hands and feet, and moved the wooden board above the ladder with both hands.

Then he turned around, took the scroll, and climbed up.

They are currently located inside the Honeydukes Candy Shop. The shop has just opened, and today is not a day for Hogwarts students to visit Hogsmeade. There is no one in the shop, except for an old gentleman sitting on the counter calculating accounts.

When the two of them appeared, the old man looked up and then continued to do his work. It seemed that he was used to it.
