027: Rush to Knockturn Alley

The shelves here are filled with all kinds of candies, lollipop quills, exploding jelly beans... and Bibi's multi-flavored beans.

"We can buy some to try when we come back." Joel felt very strange looking at the candies in the magical world.

Sergey nodded and hugged the thick book in his arms tightly.

This is his greatest wealth.

Joel and Sergey slipped out of the Honeydukes candy store. This is the village of Hogsmeade, the only pure wizarding village in the UK. Hundreds of wizards live here, with bars, restaurants, post offices... everything.

He stretched out his wand and made the same gesture as hailing a taxi in his previous life.

Five seconds later, with a deafening bang, a purple three-decker bus suddenly appeared.

"Good morning, welcome to the Knight Bus. I am the conductor Stan Sampack." The sliding door of the bus opened, and a tall and thin boy in a purple uniform jumped out. He looked about eighteen or nineteen years old.

He has a pair of eye-catching ears, and there are still a few pimples on his face.

The moment he saw Joel and Sergey, Stan was stunned, "How old are you two?"

Joel's expression remained unchanged, "Almost 11 years old, and will go to Hogwarts next year."

Of course he wouldn't tell his true age, and he couldn't let Stan know that he and Sergey snuck out of Hogwarts.

"Oh..." Stan nodded, mistakenly thinking that the two of them were wizard children living here, "Tell me your destination."

"Knockturn Alley."

"Knockturn Alley?" Stan frowned, "Why don't we go to that place? How about we go to Diagon Alley?"

Joel nodded, "Okay, but do you know how to get to Knockturn Alley from Diagon Alley?"

Stan shook his head, "I haven't been there either. You can ask someone when you get to Diagon Alley."

"It costs 11 Sickles to go to Diagon Alley, plus 3 Sickles, and you get a cup of hot chocolate."

Joel didn't have that much money on him, so Sergey took out two galleons from his pocket and handed them to Stan.

"No hot chocolate," Sergey emphasized.

Three sis can be exchanged for a cup of hot chocolate, which is 87 copper nats! How much is the chocolate powder worth? It’s a huge profit!

The three of them boarded the bus. Stan put the galleons into the handbag on his waist, then took out the silver coins and gave them to Sergey.

"This is Ern Plan, a veteran driver with 20 years of driving experience." Stan introduced them to the elderly wizard sitting in the driver's seat. The wizard wore a pair of glasses with lenses as thick as the bottom of a beer bottle.

, which made Joel suspect that he couldn't see the road clearly at all.

"It will take some time to get to Diagon Alley, let me take you inside to have a rest." Stan led them inside. The inside of the bus was very dark, with six copper-framed beds placed around it, and unfinished books inserted into the shelves on the walls.

There are lit candles, and there is a narrow wooden staircase leading upstairs.

Joel and Sergey each chose a bed, and the moment they lay down, the Knight Bus started moving.

Ern Pullan was indeed an experienced driver, but the speed was too fast and Joel couldn't bear it. The interior of the bus was bumpy, and the items in the cabinet were shaking from side to side, and even his stomach was churning.

Fortunately, they didn't eat much in the morning, otherwise they would have to vomit it up.

Fifteen minutes later, they successfully arrived at Diagon Alley.

"I wish you a pleasant journey today!" Stan dropped the two of them off the car and waved goodbye.

The Knight Bus twisted into a twist in Joel's sight and disappeared into this space.

Today is the weekend, many wizards are shopping for items in Diagon Alley, and the streets are bustling with people.

There is very little description of how to enter Knockturn Alley in the original book. Although Diagon Alley is not big, there are at least dozens of side roads, and Joel doesn't know which one leads to Knockturn Alley.

As the conductor Stan said, he had to find someone to ask for directions.

"Hello ma'am, do you know how to get to Knockturn Alley?" Joel saw a short, fat, kind-hearted lady and hurriedly stepped forward to ask.

"Knockturn Alley..." The lady's kind-hearted eyes turned twice on Joel and Sergey, "I do not recommend that you two children who have not yet gone to school go to such a dangerous place alone."

She was also holding two children, a boy and a girl, who looked about the same age as Joel and both had red hair. The girl's eyes lingered on Joel's handsome face, while the boy was addicted to the Quidditch boutique.

comet broom, eyes filled with envy.

Joel looked at the two red-haired children and suddenly felt something was wrong.

Can't it be such a coincidence?

"Where are your parents?"

"Well... they went to work today and entrusted us to sell these two volumes." Joel made up a reason and showed her the book he was holding on his chest.

She didn't want to go to that dark alley, but she was kind-hearted and didn't want to let the two children go to Knockturn Alley by themselves. Anyway, her own affairs were done, so she might as well...

"Let's do this. I'll take you two there. If you follow me, don't wander around. If other wizards talk to you, don't talk to them."

She led them towards a fork in the road.

It was Joel's first time to come to Diagon Alley. He followed the fat lady and imprinted the scenery in Diagon Alley in his mind.

Quidditch Boutique, Quidditch Stationery Store, Flourishes and Blotts Bookstore... The windows of each store are bright and clean. Through the transparent floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see many wizards shopping for goods. The business is bustling and bustling.

"What do you two call me?" the fat lady asked with a smile.

"I am Joel and he is Sergey," Joel thought for a moment and then added: "The two of us will go to Hogwarts next year."

"That's right on the same level as Ron," the fat lady looked at her youngest son, "I just forgot to introduce you, this is my youngest son Ron Weasley, and this is my youngest daughter Ginny, she

I have to wait until the year after next to go to school."

"You can just call me Mrs. Weasley."

It was exactly as Joel expected.

Yesterday, we just learned about the secret passage to Hogsmeade from the Weasley twins. Today, when we arrived in Diagon Alley, Mrs. Weasley was sending herself to Knockturn Alley again...

The Weasley family is really the patron saint of selling books.

The four children simply said hello, with no intention of making any in-depth acquaintance.

The group of people walked into the fork in the road. There were also some shops in this small alley, but the size and the flow of people were much smaller than those on the main road. The farther in, the fewer people there were. When the excitement subsided, silence gradually took over the street.

The four children followed Mrs. Weasley closely. The decoration style of the shops on both sides of the road was getting more and more gloomy. One shop even hung a withered human head on the curtain, with sunken eye sockets and dry skin without any moisture.

The ravines are like dry rivers.

It seems that we have entered the realm of Knockturn Alley.
