098: Coming Midnight

The two children hiding behind the bookshelf poked their heads out, looking at a loss.

Harry and Hermione, two little boys who were a bit shorter than Joel, looked at Joel with two pairs of pure and watery eyes, and he didn't know what to say.

"Can you speak a little louder? It's so noisy that we can't even read." Joel, knowing that he had been distracted, couldn't help but slow down his voice.

"Did you hear everything?" Hermione was actually a little nervous,

Harry turned his attention to Joel. The children were nervous, as if they were hiding some secret.

"I heard..." Joel frowned. He was about to ask, "What did you hear?", but he stopped talking, "I heard you guys discussing Hagrid..."

He hesitated to speak, but the simple Harry and the three of them were already in disarray.

Hermione pulled Joel in front of her. Joel didn't expect the girl to make such an action, and he almost fell to the ground when his body tilted.

Joel knew that the fire dragon Norbert had been born at this time, and if nothing else happened, Hermione and Harry would deliver the newly born fire dragon to Ron's brother Charlie.

"When do you plan to send this fire dragon away? To whom?" Joel asked.

Hermione did not answer his question, her voice trembled with excitement, "You must not tell this news to anyone else..."

"When do you plan to send this fire dragon away?" Joel asked again.

Harry reached out and tugged on Hermione's robes, and Hermione turned back and glared at Harry.

She avoided the question, clearly distrusting Joel.

"Okay, I won't tell anyone else." Joel didn't want to get involved in this matter. "You can just do it for yourself."

After saying that, he walked back.

Hermione and Harry were still discussing something heatedly.

After Joel sat down, a note was handed over: What's wrong?

He turned his head to meet Helene's curious and probing eyes. She had not yet taken off the small paper ball on her ear, and pursed her lips, but still did not say anything.

He reached out and patted Hailis' little head, picked up a quill and wrote on the note: Nothing, a couple was chatting.

Haylis tilted her head, then smiled stupidly, with the corners of her mouth slightly pursed, revealing her cute dimples.

Joel:???

Is there anything funny?

Early the next morning, Joel was eating breakfast at the dean's table with a leisurely and carefree expression. The auditorium was filled with whispers, and everyone turned their attention to the Gryffindor table.

The students at the Gryffindor table opposite were in despair. They lost 150 points overnight. They were originally ranked second, not much different from Ravenclaw in the Academy Cup score (thanks to two games of Quidditch)

Game victory), but overnight they became the last one, much lower than Hufflepuff and Slytherin.

The culprit was sitting at the long table with his head down eating, his face full of shame and apology, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Neville Longbottom. They were caught on the spot by Professor McGonagall for violating the curfew.

50 points per person plus one confinement.

The Gryffindors were very disappointed and angry. They did not expect that Harry Potter, who they had high hopes for, could not even avoid curfew inspection!

The other three houses were sitting on the long table watching the show. Chief Caitlin couldn't stop laughing all morning.

I never expected that my biggest competitor would collapse from within.

As long as the point difference is maintained for two months, the Academy Cup will belong to Ravenclaw again.

A weekend passed, and the cold war between Eddie and Allen showed no sign of easing. The two of them had not even said a word until now. Allen, who had always been good-tempered, kept a straight face in the dormitory every day. Joel and

Sergey didn't dare to stay in the dormitory any longer now. When he got up in the morning, he went to the auditorium to have breakfast and hurried back before the curfew in the evening.

"Are they having a conflict?" On Monday morning, Haylis endured her sleepiness and spread strawberry jam on the bread. She glanced at Eddie and Allen sitting at the end of the long table. The two of them had stiff faces and could tell at a glance.

It looked like they were having trouble.

"Well," Joel's voice was particularly low when he woke up early in the morning, "I had a big fight, so I can't persuade them. I'll just wait until the two of them reconcile."

After saying this, Joel yawned, and even Haylis wanted to yawn, but when he glanced at it, she pretended to be a good boy and stuffed a piece of mushroom into her mouth.

He didn't sleep all night last night, and the mandrake leaf he had been holding for a month was finally ready. He honestly took out the leaf and put it in a small crystal bottle, waiting to go outside to let it receive the baptism of moonlight tonight.

At the Gryffindor table, Harry, Hermione and Neville were still looking like quails with their heads lowered. They hurriedly finished breakfast and wanted to leave.

However, Cedric of Hufflepuff sent three notes, and the three of Harry glanced at them, and their expressions became even more frustrated.

All this was seen by Joel, who had no appetite. He curled his lips and yawned again.

After breakfast there is a session on Transfiguration.

"Please listen carefully, gentlemen and ladies," Professor McGonagall stood on the podium with a serious expression, "Summoning is a very important branch of transfiguration, and it occupies a very high proportion in OWL and assessments."

"It is very difficult and requires a lot of talent. Most students have not been able to cross the simplest threshold when they graduate." Professor McGonagall looked at the time. "There are still a quarter of an hour before the end of get out of class. I plan to give you an advance today." Spread knowledge in this area.”

"As I said in the first class of the semester, transfiguration will not change the essence of an object, such as a flock of birds." Professor McGonagall waved her wand gently, and all the parchments on the podium rose.

The sky turned into white birds, and they flew in circles around the classroom under the command of Professor McGonagall. "On the outside, they look no different from ordinary birds, but..."

"Mr. Taylor, help hit these birds with a spell."

Joel, who was sitting in the front row, took out his wand, and a dark red light hit a hovering bird in the air. The transformation effect disappeared, and the bird turned back into parchment, with a big hole poked in the middle.

"Did you see that it is essentially a piece of paper, not a bird, and the same is true for the summoning technique," Professor McGonagall's sharp eyes swept across the audience, and saw the students all sitting upright in their seats and nodding with satisfaction.

, continued, "But unlike ordinary transformation, the characteristic of summoning is that it creates something from scratch, for example..."

Professor McGonagall did not recite a spell this time. She waved her wand in the air, and an owl appeared out of thin air, tilting its head as if feeling very puzzled.

The students exclaimed in unison, while Joel remained expressionless. He had already raised the summoning level to an advanced level, and it was not surprising to him to conjure an owl out of thin air. The knowledge in his mind was enough to turn this seemingly unbelievable thing into reality.

Explain the phenomenon.
