099: Gathering Dew

"How did it happen?" After class, Hailis and Joel rushed to the library together. "The transformation techniques we learned before were all based on objects..."

She frowned and tapped her forehead lightly with her long and thin index finger, looking quite distressed.

"The same goes for summoning," Joel whispered. "Professor McGonagall reminded me very clearly that it is also a type of transfiguration."

"Huh?" As they walked to the library, Haylis still didn't understand.

Joel hadn't spoken much in the past two months. As soon as he spat out the mandrake leaves, his speech was much smarter than before, and he even spoke a lot more. "The essence of summoning is still transformation, but it is just a carrier of general transformation."

You can see it and touch it, but the carrier used in summoning is everywhere and is always easy to be ignored."

"...You mean air?" Haylis's eyes widened.

Joel was noncommittal, "You don't need to learn so much now. We won't be formally exposed to summoning until fifth grade."

"Then how do you know so much?" The two stepped into the library, and Mrs. Pince successfully stopped Haylis from questioning with her eyes.

After filling his stomach at night, Joel returned to the empty dormitory, picked up the small crystal bottle and walked out.

The crystal vial is half filled with Joel's saliva, and the mandrake leaves are soaked in it. It's a beautiful night, with a full moon hanging in the sky.

Joel opened the cork of the bottle and pulled out a piece of his own hair. Unexpectedly, he pulled out a small handful, took one of the good-looking ones and added it to the small crystal bottle. Then he shook it repeatedly, and the liquid in the crystal bottle

Reflects the shape of the moon.

A quarter of an hour later, Joel screwed on the cap of the crystal bottle.

In his memory, this step should also include the demanding requirement of dew - it must be collected on a full moon night and from a place where there has been no sunlight or human contact for seven days.

Joel had already thought about the collection location. It was not yet curfew time. He strutted across the hillside and followed the black lake to the corner. He and Haylis often came here a month and a half ago and noticed this place at that time.

The place is usually not visited by classmates.

Just collect dew from the plants near the water in this remote corner, then go to the crystal bottle at dawn and add a pupa of the Grimace Hawkmoth (purchased together with the mandrake leaves two months ago) and you're done.

Joel hummed a little tune and came to the black lake, and then saw two rows of shoe prints.

???

Joel was stunned for two seconds, and then walked forward along the lake. The shoe prints lingered in front of Joel's eyes.

The last heavy rain was two days ago, and this row of footprints is clearly visible. It seems that they were stepped on in the past two days. Joel would not dare to use the dew on the leaves of plants in this place. Once it is contaminated,

A month of hard work has been wasted.

Joel didn't believe in evil, and when he walked to the iron fence, he saw the backs of Qiu and Eddie. The two were sitting close together and chatting softly. Qiu patted Eddie's back gently, as if to comfort him.

Neither of them noticed Joel behind them.

The road ahead is blocked. The Black Lake is too large. The fence of Hogwarts encircles part of the Black Lake within the school. If you want to go to the other side of the Black Lake, you have to row a boat or sneak out through the gate.

The key to the door was in Filch's hand and Joel couldn't get it out. As for the self-driving magic boat used for freshmen's admission, Joel wasn't sure whether Dumbledore or Hagrid could sense it.

What's more, Qiu and Eddie are still there, and I don't know how long it will take for them to leave.

In fact, in addition to the edge of the Black Lake, there is another place that is rarely visited by people and is suitable for collecting dew...

Joel looked back and saw that the mountains in the Forbidden Forest in the distance looked holy and pure under the moonlight.

This morning, the three Harrys received the note. If nothing goes wrong, the three of them plus Malfoy, who committed the crime, will appear in the Forbidden Forest and meet Professor Quirrell, who is controlled by Voldemort. The whole process will be a near miss.

Joel pondered for a moment, feeling that he couldn't bear the pain of holding the mandrake blade in his mouth for another month. The nauseating feeling like it was stuck in his throat was something he would never forget. He had to worry about it when sleeping, for fear of swallowing the mandrake blade accidentally.

Go down.

He planned to use the Disguise Charm to go to the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest to get dew.

Knocking on the top of his head, it was like a basin of cold water poured over his head. After making sure that his figure was completely hidden, Joel rushed towards the Forbidden Forest with confidence and boldness.

When passing by Hagrid's hut, Joel saw Hagrid walking out with a stone bow on his back, followed by a muscular hound.

Hagrid moved his clumsy body to lock the door of the hut, then sat down on a wooden stake nearby and began to polish the bow and arrow in his hand. With Hagrid's size, the bow and arrow were as effective as the wand in the Forbidden Forest.

The four students who were punished with confinement had not yet left the castle. Joel slowed down, he was not in a hurry.

It would be safer and safer for Harry and his party to wait until they entered the Forbidden Forest and met Quirrell. He did not want to encounter Quirrell possessed by Voldemort as soon as he entered the forest.

Joel should try his best to survive when he can. Even though the boss against him is weak, his equipment has not yet been developed. What’s more, it’s not his turn to solve the boss. The Chosen One, the Boy Who Lived will do it.

He took over the important task without hesitation, and he didn't even have a place to cheer.

After standing there and waiting for a long time, the Disillusionment Curse was recharged twice, and then sporadic light started to move outward from Hogwarts Castle. The movement was extremely slow. When I got closer, I realized it was Filch, holding a lantern in his hand.

, followed by Harry and four others, who arrived belatedly.

"Why so slow?" Hagrid said gruffly, "I've been waiting here for a long time. Today's mission is very important..."

"Ha... these students know nothing about the dangers of the Forbidden Forest. I educated them on the road." Filch handed the four students to Hagrid. "I will come here to pick them up at six o'clock tomorrow morning -

—If they are still alive."

Malfoy snorted coldly, obviously extremely dissatisfied with Filch's words, but his trembling legs revealed his inner feelings.

"Okay Filch, your mission is over," he said not politely, "Now it's my business."

Filch cursed secretly, turned around and left with the lamp in hand.

Next, Hagrid reminded Harry and others about the safety precautions when entering the Forbidden Forest, and it took a while before they entered the Forbidden Forest.

Joel cast a disillusionment spell on his head again and followed them quietly.

"Did you see the silvery white liquid on the ground?" Hagrid stopped in front of a catwalk and raised the lantern in his hand. "This is the blood of unicorns. From the beginning to now, the unicorns in the Forbidden Forest have become more and more injured.

The visits became more and more frequent, and several unicorns died unexpectedly."

"Normally, the animals in the Forbidden Forest will not embarrass unicorns," Hagrid felt puzzled. "Unicorns are the incarnation of holiness. Creatures that harm unicorns will be cursed. Who wouldn't think of doing this?

What's going on?"

No one paid any attention to Hagrid. Under Hagrid's command, the four students divided into two groups and followed a unicorn blood trail.

Seeing Hagrid and others running deeper into the Forbidden Forest, Joel felt relieved, turned his body ninety degrees, and headed in another direction, which was inaccessible and far away from where the plot took place.

Soon Harry and others will meet Quirrell deep in the Forbidden Forest. For Joel, this is the safest opportunity to collect dew.
