To friends, please listen to me talk about this book before reading
Hello, new book friends who are about to start reading this book. I am typing this sentence while bowing to you.
Before you step into this new story world, please allow me to talk to you about what kind of book this is and what I want to say before opening it.
…………………………
This book stems from two types of plots that I like very much.
One is an extraordinary person in the ordinary world: for example, in "Harry Potter", wizards walk on the streets of London. For example, in "Level-E", aliens live in the countryside of Earth and watch baseball.
The other is a legendary interpretation of real history: For example, in "Looking for Qin", at the end of the book, the son of the time traveler Xiang Shaolong was dissatisfied with his name, Xiang Baoer, and wanted to change his name to Yu. At that moment, my scalp went numb and I felt comfortable all over.
Cool, my surname is Xiang Mingyu, it turns out that the overlord of Western Chu is Xiang Shaolong’s son.
I enjoy the thrill of seeing things that others don't know.
So just imagine, if there were a group of "outsiders" with extraordinary abilities in the world we are familiar with, how would they live in this world? What kind of love and hatred would they interpret? What I want to write is not that kind of thing.
A martial arts madman who seeks immortality and ascension, but an "extraordinary person" who smells like fireworks.
At the same time, if such people really exist, what role do they play in the history we know well? What is the truth of history?
Therefore, the main theme of this book is that the protagonist Sun Suhe travels around the world, and through adventures, collides and interweaves with various humans and non-humans, gradually grows up, and gradually reveals the historical truth hidden under the veil.
…………………………
The reason why I thought of writing this "To New Book Friends" is because "Weiming Fengyu" left his thoughts after reading in the book review area and provided me with valuable suggestions.
And he complimented me on how well I wrote, ha, it was so cool. (Shh, don’t tell others.)
Weiming Fengyu thinks that for new book lovers:
1. The reading experience of Zhezi at the beginning is not very good. It seems confusing and confusing.
2. When I read the first two chapters in a hurry, I felt a little tired. Reading them requires a little patience.
…………………………
Please allow me to talk to you about my considerations at the beginning of writing.
Let’s talk about the wedge first.
The "Zhezi" at the beginning seems to have nothing to do with the main text. In fact, my original plan was to point out the connection between "Zhezi" and the main text at the end of the first volume, when all the mysteries are revealed, so that the beginning and end echo, "Oh, so it turns out.
That's it." can give people a sudden sense of pleasure.
And I plan to spend a short paragraph at the beginning of each volume to write about the legendary interpretation of past history. This is a very important main axis of the book. The various causes and causes in past history are in the long river of time.
It stirs up storms in today's world, and the protagonist will continue to explore and uncover the relationships and mysteries step by step. This is the story I want to present.
However, because I am the author and know the relationship between before and after, I ignore the feelings of new readers who do not know this.
So, if you feel that Zhezi is confusing to read, then please just start reading it from the first chapter, it will not have any impact. Wait until the end of the first volume and then come back to read Zhezi, it will be another good one
Reading experience.
…………………………
Let’s talk about the second point. It’s a little tiring to read the first two chapters when I’m in a hurry. It takes a little patience to read them. Weiming Fengyu thinks, “Is there too much description? Or is the opening scene not vivid enough?”
Regarding this point, I actually hope that I can use more words to flesh out the protagonist. He is a real, flesh-and-blood, crying and laughing ordinary person just like you and me, rather than a device with many labels.
a definite collection.
Therefore, in the first few chapters, the protagonist will be confused and uneasy, and will need to deal with changes in his understanding of the world. It is different from the fierce battles with flesh and blood in Zhezi, and it seems that there will be a gap. However, I guarantee that there will be a gap in the future.
Soon there will be intense plot conflicts, and each character will show their own charm.
I know that there is a saying in online novels called "Three Golden Chapters", which means that the protagonist appears within three sentences, succeeds in the first chapter, and completes the pretentiousness and slap in the face within the first three chapters. Is this cool? Of course it is. Me.
I also read a lot of novels, which I thoroughly enjoyed and enjoyed.
However, while I feel refreshed, I have a feeling that the protagonist is not a flesh-and-blood, living person. It is like the author is playing an mmrpg-style online game, rushing the protagonist to quickly trigger events and complete tasks.
As an author now, I hope that the characters I write have their own lives and charms, and that they are all living people who are pitiful, amiable, hateful, and worthy of emotional investment.
For example, the protagonist Sun Suhe doesn't have the domineering spirit of Long Aotian, nor does he have the wisdom to control everything with a sneer. He is just an ordinary person. But even such an ordinary person can also fight against fate.
A fragile yet strong brilliance bloomed among all the heroes. I wanted to write about this feeling.
My original plan was to intersperse the protagonist's perspective with the game hero tracking the murder case from a secondary perspective, and use the suspense of the murder case to boost readers' interest in the first few chapters to eliminate the large amount of narrative from the protagonist's perspective, but it seems that the pace is okay.
Adjusted to be more refreshing and lively.
This is also the author's blind spot. When I wrote, I paid more attention to the intertwined development of the overall plot, but the local rhythm was not so easy for me to determine. Thanks to Weiming Fengyu for his suggestion, I am very grateful to him.
