Chapter 25. Living sacrifices

Blainey encountered the biggest crisis in his life, a crisis more dangerous than any situation he had encountered before.

Because this time it is no longer a game, nor is it the tepid punishment given by adults after pranks.

He was tied up with canes from the forest by those monsters he had never seen before, and was thrown to the ground like a loach for sale.

Blainey didn't dare to make any move. To be precise, he was so scared now that his whole body was trembling.

He may even become incontinent, making his crotch wet and ugly.

But after catching Blainey, those monsters didn't do anything else.

Blainey also calmed down a little and began to observe the situation in front of him.

Those monsters are like people in wolf's clothing. They seem to speak their own language and can communicate with each other.

From this, Blainey also discovered that there seemed to be a subordinate relationship between these monsters.

The wolf-faced monster with cold eyes in front of him was commanding the other monsters majestically just now, tying him up and bringing him here.

Now he was submissive in front of another huge wolf-faced monster, and even got slapped by it without daring to fight back.

Based on this, Blainey also knew that this huge monster was probably their leader.

Seeing the funny look of the monster being photographed on the ground with its face covered in mud, Blaney couldn't help but want to laugh.

However, this comfort did not last long, and soon Blaney could no longer laugh.

The monster that might be the leader put its ferocious wolf face in front of him, and Blainey thought the monster wanted to bite him.

So the boy stepped back in panic, but two wolf-faced monsters blocked him from behind.

In fact, the leader just sniffed him and left with a sneer.

The monster was indeed sneering. The split mouth, the raised lips and the fangs below all revealed a sense of ridicule.

Blainey guessed his next fate from this guy's reaction.

Sure enough, the wolf-faced monster with cold eyes grabbed the vines tied to his body, and then, amidst the weird accents and harsh howls of those monsters, he was pulled into the deep forest.

Blainey didn't want to sit still and wait for death, so he kicked his legs that were not tied up, trying to get away from the monsters.

But this was all in vain, as his struggle in the hands of those monsters seemed to be no more than that of a loach.

After all, the loach's body is wet and slippery, so it can always slip out of people's hands.

But what about yourself?

The cane wrapped around his hand was strangled tightly, and the strength he thought he had was nothing in the hands of those monsters.

It was his reaction of struggling that angered the three wolf-faced monsters who were looking at him, and one of them picked up the stick in his hand and hit him on the head.

Blainey was hit so hard that stars appeared in his eyes, and there was a bloodstain on his head, probably from the smash.

Immediately afterwards, Blainey was also hit on the abdomen. Fortunately, he hadn't eaten anything in the morning, otherwise this blow would probably make him vomit.

Blainey raised his head and looked at the road he just passed. There were two long marks dragged by his legs, as well as blood beads from the top of his head imprinted on the long marks.

He had settled down and allowed these monsters to drag him deep into the forest.

Because he couldn't see any hope of escaping, and he was afraid that his extra actions would cause these monsters to do violence to him again.

So he cooperated and followed the wolf-faced monster with a pinch of mud on its nose, heading into the mountains.

At least...Jack escaped, right?

Blainey found that he could no longer resist anything, so he simply thought about what was happening in the village and his brother's safety.

He didn't see Jack's shadow for such a long time, which meant that those monsters really failed to catch Jack. This was a good thing.

Blaney pushing Jack away was completely subconscious.

He didn't think much about it at the time, but when he pushed Jack away, he was pushed to the ground with a huge force and couldn't move, and his hands were immediately tied up.

At this time, he looked in the direction of Jack and saw only Jack's rapidly shrinking back.

If there was a race between Blaney and Jack at this time, he probably wouldn't be able to outrun Jack.

What will happen if Jack returns to the village? These monsters won't want to attack the village, right?

This was also uncertain, but Blainey did see the leader heading towards the village with other monsters, and he began to feel a little worried.

In fact, he was also full of affection for that village. Even though he had only lived there for a few months, he already missed the people in the village.

He may have caused a lot of trouble for the villagers, but there were always a few kind old people who would come to comfort them when they were scolded.

Blainey knew that most of the people in the village were good people.

The reason why he always follows Jack to do bad things is that he hopes to make his bad-tempered uncle Jones send him back to his hometown in anger.

Blainey didn't want to learn to be a carpenter, he hoped to be a hunter like his father.

Jack, on the other hand, hates the village and the villagers who speak ill of his family behind his back because his alcoholic father is always not doing his job properly.

Sometimes they cause trouble and do things that adults don't allow, not just for fun, but more because they want adults to pay attention to their thoughts.

But now, these things can no longer be conveyed.

"Barrondo Gulu (We've arrived)."

Popolun led Blainey deep into the forest, and the two wolf-headed warriors following behind him also spread out to check if there was any noise around them.

When Popolun was about to start the sacrifice, these two assistants naturally had to ensure the safety of the ceremony.

Wolf-headed men have a tradition of using their opponent's cubs as blood sacrifices before each war.

Therefore, the reason why they did not kill Blainey immediately was because in their opinion, Blainey's life still had value as a notification to the ancestors to bring them victory.

However, new-school young wolf-headed men like Nursha do not believe that this groundless living sacrifice ritual can really bring them any power from their ancestors.

So Nursha jokingly called this the sacrificial "game" of Popolun.

The place Popolun found in the forest happened to be surrounded by dense forest, leaving only this circular open space, and directly above the open space was the rising sun.

Looking down at this terrain like this, you will find that it is like a vertical eye.

In the rituals of sacrifice, this terrain is the "eye of the ancestors" and is an excellent place for sacrifice.

Popolon was very excited when he passed by this place. If this place could be occupied for a long time, he would definitely go to the Presbyterian Church to apply to build an altar here.

"Aro, Saurabh, Adibendis... (spell)"

Popollon closed his eyes and muttered something, holding a short knife in his hand and drawing in the air.

The wolf-headed man was chopping something in the air from time to time. He still held the cane in his hand, and obviously had no intention of letting go of Blainey.

Seeing the short knife less than three feet away from him being waved in front of him, Blainey immediately felt his throat tightening. He realized what these guys would do to him next.

Now that I was being held on the edge of a knife, it was estimated that these monsters would soon open a hole in my throat and bleed out my blood.

But Blainey didn't give up just like that, because at this time, the two wolf-headed men who had been looking at him had already walked away.

The only person in front of him was this guy with his eyes closed and still convulsing. If there was any time to escape, it was this time.

Blainey took a few steps back, farther away from the knife edge. Then he leaned his hands against the sharp-edged stone behind his back and rubbed it with all his strength.

It wasn't until his hands almost lost all feeling that the obstructing rattan was finally broken.

By this time Blainey had untied his restraints and immediately got up, trying to slip away while the monster hadn't opened its eyes and the other monsters hadn't come back.

"Kidira (want to run away)?!"

However, at this time, Popolun pulled on the cane and found that his hand lacked the weight it should have.

He immediately opened his eyes and roared at Blainey, who had climbed a foot away.

The two wolf-headed men who were exploring nearby heard the movement and leaned out of the bushes nearby, and quickly rushed towards him.

Facing these ferocious wolf-faced monsters rushing towards him, Blainey's heart thumped. At this moment, he only had this sentence in his mind:

"It's over!!"
