Chapter 510 Eight Extraordinary Meridians

The eight extraordinary meridians are just a category of the direction of the human body's meridians. They are the general term for the Ren meridian, Du meridian, Chong meridian, Ding meridian, Yin Qiao meridian, Yang Qiao meridian, Yin Wei meridian, and Yang Wei meridian. Unlike the twelve regular meridians, they are neither directly related to the internal and external meridians, and they have different ways of moving, so they are called strange meridians.

Its functions include: 1. It communicates the connection between the twelve meridians; 2. It has a regulatory effect on the accumulation, seepage, and other irrigation of qi and blood of the twelve meridians.

Eight meridians:

The Ren meridian runs in the midline of the ventral face. Its meridian meets the three Yin and Yin Wei meridians of the hands and feet many times, and can sum up the Yin meridians of the body, so it is called "the sea of Yin meridians". The Ren meridian originates in the cervix and is related to a woman's pregnancy, so there is a saying that "Ren is the corpse".

The Du meridian runs in the middle of the back. Its meridian meets the three Yang meridians of the hands and feet and the Yangwei meridians many times, and can govern the Yang meridians of the whole body, so it is called the "Sea of Yang meridians".

The Du meridian runs in the spine, goes up into the brain, and separates the kidney from the spine, which is closely related to the brain, spinal cord, and kidney.

The Chong meridian, from the head to the bottom to the foot, runs through the whole body; it becomes the key to qi and blood, and can regulate qi and blood in the twelve meridians, so it is called "the sea of twelve meridians", also known as "the sea of blood", which is related to women's menstruation.

The Ding Mai starts from the flanks and goes downwards to the Ding Mai point, and circulates around the body, like a belt, which can restrain the longitudinal meridians.

Yin Qiao Mai, Yang Qiao Mai: Qiao has the meaning of lightness, strength, quickness, and has the function of nourishing the eyes, controlling the opening and closing of the eyelids and movement of the lower limbs.

Yin Weimai, Yang Weimai: Wei means maintenance. The function of Yin Weimai is to "clear all yins"; the function of Yang Weimai is to "clear all yangs".

There are eight representative acupoints in the eight meridians, Gongsun, Neiguan, Linqi, Waiguan, Shenmai, Houxi, Lieque, Zhaohai, and a song "Eight Acupoints Song" passed down:

Gongsun Chongmai, stomach, heart and chest, Neiguan Yinwei, and the same;

Linqi Gallbladder meridian and the Yangwei sharp penis meets the outer gate of the outside of the gate;

The inner canthar neck of the Du meridian in Houxi and the Yang Qiao meridian in Shen meridian is also connected;

The Liequen meridian flows through the lung system, and the Yin ridge shines on the sea diaphragm and throat.

The eight extraordinary meridians intersect the circumcision between the twelve meridians, and their functions are mainly reflected in two aspects.

First, it communicates the connection between the twelve meridians.

The eight extraordinary meridians connect meridians with similar parts and similar functions to achieve the effect of controlling the qi and blood of the meridians and coordinating yin and yang.

The Du meridian is connected with the six yang meridians, called the "Sea of Yang meridians", and has the function of regulating the qi of the Yang meridians throughout the body; the Ren meridians are connected with the six yin meridians, called the "Sea of Yin meridians", and has the function of regulating the qi of the Yin meridians throughout the body; the Chong meridians are connected with the Ren, Du meridians, Foot Yangming, Foot Shaoyin meridians, so it is known as the "Sea of Twelve Meridians" and "Sea of Blood", which has the function of storing the qi and blood of the twelve meridians.

The belt meridian constraints are connected to the foot meridians that run vertically on the trunk; the Yin-Yang Wei meridian is connected to the Yin-Yang meridian and the Yang meridian, which is responsible for the exterior and interior of the body; the Yin-Yang Qiao meridian presides on the movement of yang and yin and static, and together conducts lower limb movement and sleep.

Second, the eight extraordinary meridians have a regulatory effect on the accumulation and infiltration of qi and blood in the twelve meridians.

When the twelve meridians and internal organs are full of qi and blood, the eight extraordinary meridians can accumulate. When the human body needs to be functional and active, the eight extraordinary meridians can penetrate and supply.

The acupoints of the six meridians of Chong, Biao, and Wei are all attached to the twelve meridians and Ren and Du meridians. Only Ren and Du meridians have their own acupoints, so they are compared with the twelve meridians and are collectively called the "Four Meridians".

The fourteen meridians have a certain course of circulation, the symptoms and acupoints to which they belong, and are the main part of the meridian system. They are clinically the basis of acupuncture treatment and the meridianization.

"Danti-Classic" says: "All these eight are not bound by the meridians, so they are called the eight extraordinary meridians." That is to say, the eight extraordinary meridians are different from the twelve meridians, and their characteristics are as follows:

1. The eight extraordinary meridians do not belong to the internal organs, and there is no cooperation between the external and internal.

The body of the five internal organs is one of the body, the six internal organs are the five internal organs, and the meridians are the tunnel of the internal organs. Only then can there be a way, body, essence and spirit, just like water can float on the boat and cover it.

2. In addition to the eight extraordinary meridians and Ren and Du meridians, the acupoints of the other six meridians are attached to the twelve meridians, Ren and Du meridians.

3. The eight extraordinary meridians are inseparable from the twelve meridians and meet with the regular meridians in many places in the human body. Therefore, the eight extraordinary meridians have the effect of storing the qi and blood of the twelve meridians and regulating the rise and fall of the twelve meridians.

When the twelve meridians and internal organs are full of qi and blood, the eight extraordinary meridians can accumulate. When the human body needs to be functional and active, the eight extraordinary meridians can penetrate and supply.

In the "Danti-Classic", the twelve meridians are compared to "ditches" and the eight extraordinary meridians are compared to "huze", which vividly illustrates this function.

Route route:

In medical practice, the theory of the eight extraordinary meridians and eight meridians should be used in diagnosis and treatment, especially acupuncture, massage and qigong should be directly applied to the eight extraordinary meridians and eight meridians.

For example, related to external fever, neurological diseases, chest, abdomen, waist and back diseases, and some internal organ diseases, they must be diagnosed according to the eight meridians, and also selected medicine formulas for Guiqi meridians to treat.

The "large and large and small" practiced in Qigong are all centered on the eight extraordinary meridians.

Massage and massage also do not leave the Ren and Du meridians and Yin and Yang.

The pulse was called "pu" in ancient times.

The most prominent one is acupuncture, which can be used to diagnose the eight meridians and to select treatment points.

In particular, there are independent acupoints in the Ren and Du meridians, and the treatment scope of each acupoint is different, and most of them are commonly used in clinical practice.

In addition, the eight extraordinary meridians meet at the twelve meridians and have eight acupoints at the end of the limbs, named "Eight Acupoints of the Eight Acupoints of the Eight Acupoints of the Eight Acupoints", which are commonly known as "Eight Acupoints of the Eight Acupoints of the Eight Acupoints of the Eight Acupoints".

At the beginning, these eight acupoints were selected according to the syndrome differentiation of the meridians, called "Yin Four Acupoints and Yang Four Acupoints". Their therapeutic effect was significant. Later, these eight acupoints were used in the timely selection of acupoints, and the eight meridians were incorporated into the eight trigrams and the acupoints were selected according to the timing and direction. They were called "The Extraordinary Sutra and the Eight Methods of the Spirit Turtle" and were commonly known as the Eight Methods of the Flying Teng Eight Methods, which were unique.

Chinese medicine has no distinction between departments, and yin and yang and five elements are mutually generated and restrained, just as water can float a boat and restore a boat. Dividing the subject will only harm people and make it a butcher.

Although the eight extraordinary meridians are important, they are the surface of the human body, which means that yin produces yang and solidifies yang. Where does yang come from if yin does not produce? In Chinese medicine, the five natures of medicine are treated with the five internal organs, rather than the five natures of medicine.

When the extraordinary meridians are opened, people will feel that the qi and blood in the meridians in the body are unobstructed and energetic.

Opening the eight extraordinary meridians method is the key to traditional practice of dual cultivation of nature and life.

The ancestors of all generations regarded it as a secret, and it was not disclosed in the various alchemy scriptures and Taoist books.

Ordinary people have these eight meridians, all of which are yin spirits closed but not opened. Only gods and immortals can open up their yang energy, so they can attain Tao. The eight meridians are the innate roots and the ancestor of one qi.
