Chapter 420 The Four Noble Truths

PreviousBack to directoryNext
No one could have expected that Jianquan would rise up and kill the deputy commander of the Zhenfu Division and the leader of Luoyang Haotian Taoist Temple.

This is just like how no one would think that at the New Year's Day meeting, Lian Xuanxiao, the head of Xuegong Mountain, suddenly killed the emperor and the empress and declared that he would be the emperor of the Yu Kingdom.

It’s too bizarre and unbelievable.

"Master Jianquan,"

Xing Pengyue moved his eyes away from Gongsun Changyi's body with great difficulty, and said in a slightly trembling voice: "What are you..."

"Haven't you reacted yet?"

Jianquan smiled gently,

The thunder and lightning prison slowly dissipated with the death of Xiong Tuohai. The shadow demon trapped in it immediately clung to the ground, swam to the feet of Jianquan, and turned into a shadow again.

The four walls of the prison courtyard are covered with torches, but there is only one shadow of Jianquan.

"There has never been a Buddhist monk, it has always been you."

Sui Yi said in a bitter voice: "First, you use the Shadow Demon to attack and kill Huang Yusan, Gao Fuyun and others one after another to create the fact that there are serial murders in Xingzhou City.

You knew that the Xingzhou Zhenfu Division would definitely inform your superiors, so you arrived in Luoyang in advance, found Deputy Commander Gongsun Changyi, and fabricated news related to Shi Xingseng.

Since you are the last person who has met Monk Shixing, and you are also the leader of the Zen Sect of Yu State, you know the Zen techniques best,

Gongsun Changyi will definitely take you to Xingzhou, and you will take this opportunity to attack and kill him.

In order to make the operation go smoothly, you also deliberately fabricated the so-called "Shi Xing Monk is killing people according to the Six Paths of Reincarnation" to trick Li Leling from Xingzhou City into leaving.

Because you know that Li Leling must be secretly accompanied by powerful palace ministers.

It will hinder your plan."

Jianquan listened with a smile, exuding a gentle temperament, not like a murderer with his hands stained with blood, but more like a kind old man returning from a day of farm work.

"If the facts are as the donor said,"

After Sui Yi finished speaking, Jian Quan said leisurely: "Why did the poor monk attack and kill the temple owner of Xingzhou Taoist Temple? Once he did this, Xiong Tuohai, the temple owner of Luoyang Haotian Taoist Temple, would inevitably arrive.

Aren’t the poor monks adding more burdens to themselves?”

"..."

Sui Yi couldn't help but remain silent. She really couldn't figure out Jianquan's motive for doing this.

You must know that he is now the leader of the Zen Sect of Yu State, with countless disciples and grandsons. The neck he compiled will surely become a prominent school in the future.

In terms of status, strength, fame, and power, Jianquan has already reached the pinnacle of monks. He has no reason to openly rebel against the Yu Kingdom.

Even if there is the slightest possibility, for example, that he is a spy sent by Zhou State to Yu State a long time ago, he will not choose to take actions that lack strategic significance in Xingzhou, a city with no strategic value——

It's better to go into the palace and assassinate.

"The poor monk is not a spy from the Zhou Kingdom or the Jing Kingdom, nor is he a member of the Demon Sect who is deeply lurking, nor is he controlled by alienated objects."

Jian Quan said peacefully: "Most of the stories told by the poor monk during the day are true, with only a few details differing.

Six months ago, when the poor monk was traveling around, he met the Buddhist monk who claimed to be Harvard.

At that time, he was with a woman who called herself Jiacheng. The two claimed to be from the Zhaoming organization that had previously destroyed the city of Chang'an, and they came specifically to recruit poor monks."

Jianquan's eyes narrowed slightly and he recalled: "The poor monk had heard a little bit about the changes in Chang'an on Chinese Valentine's Day last year. He knew about the two characters Zhao Ming when he was writing letters to his friends, so he naturally became vigilant, made excuses, and was always ready to suppress the two of them.

Monk Shi Xing guessed the poor monk's plan and took out a volume of scriptures in advance.

A volume of notes from Luyeyuan, brought by Mahale Chiduo from Tianzhu during the pre-Qin period.

The author is one of the earliest members of the Sangha whose name has been lost. He listened to the Buddha's teachings at Sarnath and wrote down his experiences and confusion."

At the age of thirty-five, the Buddha attained enlightenment by sitting in the lotus position under a Bipal tree in Bodh Gaya. After that, he accepted disciples and spread his teachings. Sarnath was the place where he first performed his teachings.

"The poor monk has been fortunate enough to read many Sanskrit classics, including the ancient Zen classics brought back from Nalanda Temple by Master Chen Yi in the early Yu Dynasty. Therefore, I can tell that the volume of notes is not a forgery.

As for the above content, it is the Four Noble Truths explained by the Buddha himself."

Jianquan said: "The Buddha became a Buddha because he realized the rules of the birth and death of all things in the world. However, because the birth and death of all things is too profound and difficult to understand, the Buddha deliberately simplified it and used the Four Noble Truths to explain the principle of the flow of life and death and the path to liberation.<

/p>

The first is suffering, the second is accumulation, the third is cessation, and the fourth is path.

The truth of suffering is the suffering of life, such as birth, old age, illness and death. Because there is suffering, there is no way to escape it."

The truth of collection is to explain the causes of all suffering, to gather the results of all suffering, and to point out that all suffering is caused by the three instincts of greed, hatred, and ignorance.

The truth of annihilation is to extinguish the three poisons of greed, anger, and ignorance, eliminate the bitter fruits, and achieve pure cessation just like extinguishing a candle.

The truth of the Tao is the complete enlightenment. We do not pursue sensual enjoyment or seek happiness through self-abuse and asceticism.

Instead, explore your heart and seek peace.

Once you realize the Four Truths, you will be able to achieve Nirvana and be liberated, and become the happiest and most unrestrained person in the world.

He does not suffer from the suffering of the past, nor is he entangled with the suffering of the future. He only lives in the present, and his heart is full of compassion, kindness, and fraternity. The Four Noble Truths are the basis of Zen teachings, and all philosophical thoughts are related to the Four Noble Truths. Throughout the ages, no

Do you know how many sages and predecessors have contributed to it?

There are even many monks who claim that some people have conquered the Four Noble Truths and achieved final liberation.

That is to say, this is suffering, I know it; this is the accumulation, I have eliminated it; this is the cessation, I have realized it; this is the path, I have cultivated it."

Jianquan narrated, his voice gentle and calm, containing firm power.

If you ignore the blood on his hands and the dead bodies at his feet, it will be no different from a Zen lecture.

"But, they are all wrong."

Jianquan sighed leisurely, "Suffering is the origin of the four truths. Suffering is the origin of the four truths. Only by understanding the suffering of all living beings can we achieve subsequent enlightenment.

The original Buddha had great benevolence and observed people's birth, aging, sickness and death, so that he could empathize with them.

Nowadays, monks are not engaged in production, but just watch the work of the world, trying to realize benevolence and understand themselves by observing others.

This is like going in the opposite direction, trying to fish out a tree. The more you firmly believe in it, the farther away you are from the right path, the closer you are to illusion, and there is no possibility of attaining the Four Truths, Nirvana and becoming a Buddha.

Like a bridge across the boundless sea of suffering, there is a section missing in the middle. Even if it is only the last few feet away from the end of the sea of suffering, it is still so far away that there is no way to cross it no matter what.

The content in the Deer Park Notes makes up for this missing path.

That is,

Completely insert yourself into the lives of others, and feel the pain and happiness of others thoroughly and clearly.

It can also be understood as the transformation of others into the free world."
