Chapter 302: Early uprising

PreviousBack to directoryNext
November 2nd, morning dawn.

"Don't shoot, it's me, Haji, I want to see Battalion Commander George!"

A middle-aged man with a bald and greasy head broke into the heavily guarded No. 5 forest camp of the Havana guerrillas alone. He wanted to see the battalion commander when he entered.

After a while, a middle-aged man with thick eyebrows and big eyes came over and was a little confused when he saw Haji appearing in front of him.

"You kid. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be collecting intelligence in the city? And why are you the only one?"

"Hey! Battalion Commander George, the matter has been exposed. Our intelligence agent in the city has been arrested, and the American soldiers are going to bring government soldiers to encircle and suppress us."

"Oh, you are quite nimble. I didn't expect you to be so clumsy as to escape capture!"

When George heard the news, he looked nervous, and quickly notified the people below to prepare for the bottom, and at the same time handed the information to the headquarters.

"Captain George, my good brother-in-law. Please stop reporting. The soldiers have already set out to surround our various guerrilla camps. There is no use in preparing now!"

"Oh, how come you know so well? You can't be..."

Before George could finish speaking, Haji cheerfully intercepted his lines and spoke out words of persuasion to surrender.

"You guessed it right, Battalion Commander George, I have reformed. I am here today to persuade you to surrender and return to the Yi government to avoid more casualties on the part of the Cubans.

The soldiers are less than 2 kilometers away from us, and we are about to besieged. Brother-in-law, you should make a judgment early."

"Asshole, you are actually a traitor, I will kill you." George was furious, took out his Mauser pistol, loaded it and pointed it at the traitor.

"Hey, brother-in-law, don't do this."

Haji was not afraid at all and said nervously: "Brother-in-law, I'm here to save you.

Originally I was going to be sent to another camp, but I wanted to save you, so I came here specifically to persuade you to surrender.

Brother-in-law, what's the point of being a guerrilla? You can't eat royal food, and it's dangerous. My sister has never had a good day following you.

The American commander-in-chief has said that as long as the guerrillas surrender, they will be incorporated into our official establishment and there will be many rewards.

After you get the $1,000 fee, you will still be the battalion commander, and then you will cooperate with the American soldiers and government troops to attack the rebels. If you have meritorious service in the battle, you will be rewarded greatly."

Just when Haji was convincing his brother-in-law with sweet words, a correspondent hurriedly broke in and reported important news from the headquarters.

"It's not good, battalion commander. The headquarters sent a message. Headquarters, Camps 1, 2, and 7 were attacked, and Camp 3 and Camp 6 lost information.

The uprising was exposed, and the American soldiers and puppet troops now knew the full plan.

The Liberation Movement of Cuba in Guantanamo ordered various places to revolt in advance and asked the troops to go south to reunite.

The guerrillas at the headquarters in Havana announced that the entire guerrilla force would break out and go south to Matassas Province. There are no American troops there and the puppet army is not very effective in combat. They will meet with the guerrillas there and then return to attack."

"Brother-in-law, look, I didn't lie to you, did I? Our Camp No. 5 was exposed, and the army didn't attack Charity, so let's surrender!" Haji laughed.

"Battal Commander, you, you, you are going to betray the revolution." The correspondent quickly discovered the problem and quickly prepared to escape.

"Snapped!"

The gunshot rang out and a figure fell to the ground!

"Brother-in-law, you..." A weak and unbelievable voice finally came from Haji.

"Pah! Pah!"

George fired two more shots, completely ending his brother-in-law's life and declaring that he would not betray his duty, the uprising, or the heart of the Cuban people.

The correspondent saw that George had killed his relatives and knew that the battalion commander had not rebelled, but the matter was urgent, so he quickly asked about the next course of action.

"Battal Commander, what should we do now? Are we going south?"

"Report to headquarters, Camp 5 is preparing to assemble and head south!"

"yes!"

Taking advantage of the moment when American soldiers and government troops failed to attack, George decisively alerted the Portuguese instructors and commanded the army to break through and march south to Matassas Province.

Because of Haji's persuasion to surrender, and because of Battalion Commander George's decisiveness, No. 680 of the fifth camp succeeded in breaking through at the cost of 32 casualties.

Just because Camp 5 is so lucky does not mean that other camps in Havana are so lucky.

Camp No. 3, 827 people, the Portuguese instructor was killed, the loyalists were captured, and the battalion commander rebelled!

There were 786 people in Camp 4. The battalion commander wanted to surrender, but was discovered. After a civil war, American soldiers and government troops attacked, and all loyal forces were wiped out.

Camp No. 7, because it is located in the far south, quickly eliminated the traitors, broke through the siege and blockade with a loss of 702 people and injured 121 people, and quickly headed south!

The headquarters, Camp 1 and Camp 2, were elite, very close to each other, with 5,326 troops defending them in a triangle, so there was no attempt to persuade them to surrender, and the U.S. and Pakistani forces attacked with all their might.

"We can no longer fight, break out of the encirclement, immediately, immediately, discard unnecessary materials, now we must use all our strength to break out of the encirclement."

Holmes, the Portuguese chief instructor in Havana, advised Engel, the commander of the resistance division in Havana.

Engel was reluctant to part with the supplies. He wanted to withdraw with these rich supplies that the Cubans had never dreamed of.

"What to do with so many arms? I can't bear to part with them. They are the capital of our resistance as Cubans."

"It explodes, it explodes. We in Portugal will support you to the end."

After some preparations, Engel gritted his teeth and ordered with red eyes:

"Blow up the heavy artillery, ammunition depots, and food depots, and let the entire army break through with light equipment!"

Engel made a decision, headquarters, No. 1 and No. 2 camps, with a heartbroken heart to blow up the material, and the entire army carried machine guns, rifles, mortars, grenades and enough ammunition to break out south.

"Brother Drew, those tree rats are fighting hard. We have already lost more than 30 of our 125-man brothers. What should we do? If we continue to fight, we will suffer heavy losses."

The deputy company commander, with a blackened face, reported to his company commander heartbroken.

"Stop it with all your strength. This battle must be fought well. This is our opportunity to show our abilities to the American master.

After this battle, we will no longer be a miscellaneous company, we will be elites.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! As long as we can stick to our direction and let the American master see my ability, I will definitely flourish in the government army. When the time comes, brothers will follow me and become popular.

.”

"Okay! Brother, we believe you."

Some Cuban government troops are hell-bent on becoming lackeys of the United States, but some also have a national conscience and know who they are facing?

"Make a way, make a way, we are all Cubans, why are we fighting so fiercely? If this continues, both sides will lose, let them go!"

Just shoot in the air and hide in position, do you understand?"

Company commander Bailey was furious and ordered his men not to act so cruelly.

Although Bailey is an elite member of the government, his eldest brother Kidd also serves as the deputy minister of health in the government, and his family is also a large farmer, but he is not determined to be a traitor just because he is an immediate benefit!

"This is not good. If the American master finds out, we will be punished." A platoon leader said worriedly.

Pele is patriotic, but some people are different. They don't have so much patriotic sentiment, and they are more interested in their own future.

"What the hell are you thinking? There are Cubans on the other side!" Bailey went up and slapped him.

"Cubans, if you don't fight Cubans, you really think that Americans are the masters of Cubans. Look at the bitches you all look like.

Act according to my orders, and I will take responsibility if anything happens."

Because of the appearance of traitors, the Cuban uprising was held in advance. The two northernmost provinces, close to American influence, suffered heavy losses.

In Pinar del Rio Province, of the 4,650-man guerrilla resistance division, only 2,072 people broke out to Matasas Province.

Later, as American soldiers and government troops attacked in the south, the resistance forces in the north and center fought with them in the three provinces of Matassas, Villaclara, and Cienfuegos.

The battle in the middle took place from November 19th to November 28th.

During the battle between the two sides, the Cuban resistance army was defeated and forced to retreat south to the province of San Spiritus. At this time, there were only 807 people left in the Pinar del Rio resistance division.

The Resistance Army in Havana Province, as the most important point of Portugal's resources, suffered the second heaviest loss. Although most of the troops were withdrawn in time, the losses during the battle in the three provinces were also quite heavy.

After the failure of the three-province battle, the elite Hawala had only 2,312 men left, and finally had to merge with the Pinar del Rio Resistance Division to form the 3,000-man terminal division, the 4th Northern Division.

The three resistance divisions of Matasas, Via Clara, and Cienfuegos in the north, which originally received few resources and suffered considerable losses due to the failure of the battle, retreated to the central province of Santo Spiritus.

Finally, 13,726 people remained, and they were later reorganized into three northern divisions.

Although the northern battle failed, it also provided the Cuban region further south with nearly a month.
