Final words

PreviousBack to directorydirectory
It’s finally time to officially finish the book.

First of all, I would like to thank my editor Qilin. The data for this book was not good at the beginning, and it was not recommended until it was almost 200,000 words long. It was Qilin’s encouragement that made me persevere.

From the time it was released on June 24 last year to May 31 this year, it took almost a year, and a total of 4.04 million words were written, which is really an auspicious number.

In the past year, I have not dared to stop updating for a day, and the number of daily updates is less than 10,000 words less than five days. Even when the sun is shining, I have tried my best to update 10,000 words a day.

Looking back now, I am really filled with emotion. Even I admire this perseverance.

After so many years in the industry, I have written various novels about soldiers, bodyguards, ghosts, gods, and legends, but the word count has never reached four million. This food article has set a new high in terms of word count, and it is also somewhat beyond the plan.

I had originally planned to finish the book around May Day, which was about the plot of Chen Yan’s marriage, but there was no room at the hospital where I made an appointment, and the editor arranged a wave of recommendations, so I wrote it until the end of the month.

It is precisely because of this that I achieved the achievement of over four million words in a single book.

Anyone who has read this book should know that I have diabetes. In addition, over the past year, I have been going downstairs once every two to three months on average and have not done any exercise, so my blood sugar is somewhat uncontrollable.

After the Spring Festival, I planned to find a diabetes hospital to stay in and receive systematic care. Now I finally made an appointment at the beginning of next month.

It just so happens that my Xiong Bao's health has not been very good, so we went to BJ together for a full-body check-up. The day after tomorrow, our family will leave and drive to the capital to see a doctor.

The reason for working hard to earn money is to get medical treatment. Once your condition is stable, you will work harder to earn money, and then go to a better hospital for medical treatment... This is an endless cycle.

I would also like to thank my wife for not being dissatisfied. From my marriage in early 2018 to now, I have been to the hospital countless times and seen her from head to toe. When I was writing the noodle book, I also went to the hospital for lumbar disc herniation surgery.

I was very happy to write this book because all the delicacies in it are things that I want to eat but can’t eat right now. I indulge myself while writing hard, which gives me a kind of masochistic happiness.

The plot in the book is pretty good, and some of the settings stick to the end. For example, Chen Yan is the only character who benefits from bullying Dundun, and the God of Wealth moonlights as a matchmaker, etc.

As for some readers complaining about Shen Jiayue, this... I just wrote it based on my wife's daily behavior. She is usually coquettish and likes to act coquettishly, so I didn't write it blindly.

However, there are also regrets. For example, when writing about the state banquet, I originally planned a lot of plots and wanted to write about the celebration banquet to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea. However, I consulted several friends in the industry and they did not recommend writing it because they were worried that it would be reported.

If someone drives in a book, it doesn't matter if they are banned. At least they have experienced the joy of driving.

But it would be unjust if our book was banned for writing about food. It would probably become a joke in the industry, so I skipped these contents.

Some other local dishes are not shown due to space constraints, which is a pity.

However, some will be written in later books, and the fate of these characters in the book will also be explained in the next book. Therefore, the ending seems very rushed. In fact, it is just to make it easier to mention these characters in the next book.

At the end of the extra chapter, the next book has been revealed. The protagonist will have a dog from the Dog Star. The specific breed has not yet been determined. What kind of dog do you think fits the setting of "cursed by knowledge"?

The next book will be another story line with the same world view and the same timeline as the first book. It will definitely have food elements, but not all, there will also be business and so on. Anyway, it will be a growth story within the framework of urban life.

.

Some of the characters in this book will be permanent residents in the next book. The story also takes place in Yinzhou, and the Yin Ruins may also be written about. However, we won’t know the details until we make the outline. Right now we only have a rough idea.

I was hospitalized for about a month, and then I took Xiong Zai and Xiong Bao for a walk. Both of them are keen on traveling and like to stay in different B&Bs. However, they have been sealed at home this year and have not gone anywhere. They have long been exhausted.

Already.

Starting from the Spring Festival, they have to go to the corridor to play for a while, otherwise they will get angry and unhappy.

When I get home again, which will be around the end of August, I will start preparing the outline of the new book, discuss the settings with the editor, and strive to achieve 10,000 orders for the next book.

Readers of Qidian can enter the reader group through the one-click group adding function. Later, they will chat with everyone in the group about new book settings, and may even hold some new book trial reading activities.

Please don’t cancel your favorites. When new books come back, individual chapter notifications will be sent here, so you can keep them.

I have written more than a thousand words eloquently, so that’s it.

I wish you all good food, good health, and see you in September!

By the way, it’s Children’s Day tomorrow, and I wish all the kids and adults a happy holiday!

Meow meow meow meow~~~~~~
