Chapter 167 The Authentic Artifacts of Bada Shanren

Putting a layer of special cotton cloth on the glass display cabinet, Shen Yu slowly unfolded the painting.

If it were his own painting, it wouldn't be so troublesome, but if the object belongs to someone else, it must be treated with care.

The painting is a scroll, ink on silk, about 70 cm in length and 45 cm in width.

The ancients summed up four steps for appraising ancient calligraphy and painting, which are to observe the charm, examine the spread, identify imitations, and distinguish paper and silk.

Because there were many paintings by the ancients that did not leave any inscriptions, and it was not until the Ming and Qing Dynasties that paintings were frequently signed and stamped, so now people have to add a seal when appraising paintings and calligraphy.

Ancient paintings are mainly divided into silk and paper. Paper is painting on paper. As the name implies, you can all know this.

When it comes to silk, many people don’t understand.

Silk is a kind of silk fabric made from silk through combing, drawing, stretching, twisting and other spinning processes. It can be understood as a kind of fabric that can be painted on and used as cloth to make clothes.

The content of Song Bo's painting is very simple. On a huge dead tree with branches, there stands a fat bird with its neck hunched and its body hunched.

The bird's feathers are very fluffy, and the dead branches are very thin. If the fat bird stands on it, it seems that it will break the branches and fall off at any time.

The expression of the fat bird is very strange. At first glance, the fat bird looks very angry, but if you look closely, you can see that the oval eyes of the fat bird are tightly pressed against the eye sockets, but they are rolling their eyes.

It is full of aloofness and disdain, which can be said to be full of fun.

There is a huge rock under the tree, and a few withered grasses are swaying in the wind in the cracks of the stone. What is interesting is that this rock is different from the real stone. The huge rock in the painting is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, as if it is always at any time. Everyone will fall in the painting.

There is no title for this painting, but there are two lines of poetry in running script: "Thousands of horizontal and vertical strokes, not many ink spots but many tears."

The whole painting is simple and not complicated at all, but the depiction is extremely vivid and expressive, with a sense of tranquility and indifference, but also a sense of loneliness and desolation in it.

There are two seals on the right side of the painting: a clog-like Zhu Wen seal, and a pictographic "Zhenshang" Zhu Wen seal.

It is signed and signed "March 19" in the shape of a crane.

"Why does the bird in this painting roll its eyes? It looks like an angry bird. It would be fun to make an emoticon." Seeing Shen Yu and two others coming out, Li Huiyun also came over and looked at it for a while. I was amused by the fat bird in the painting.

"Nizi, if you like this painting, I'll give it to you!" Lao Song said generously.

Li Huiyun waved her hand quickly, "Old man, I just think it's interesting, but I don't dare to ask for your things."

"Nizi, you are very discerning. I don't have a granddaughter, but I have a granddaughter who has just entered the freshman year. If she were older, she would definitely recruit Xiao Shen as her grandson-in-law. I didn't expect you to beat me to it." Lao Song looked quite impressed. Regret expression.

When Li Huiyun heard this, her cheeks turned red with embarrassment, but she was also very articulate, "Even if you have a granddaughter, you definitely can't marry Qinan."

Lao Song asked curiously: "Where do you start talking about this?"

Li Huiyun raised her head and said confidently: "Because Qinan only likes me."

"Um?"

Lao Song was stunned for a moment, and then burst out laughing.

"Okay, when you two get married, you must remember to leave a message for me. I will drink this wedding wine."

"No problem."

Li Huiyun walked to the reception room with a smile, brought a chair for Lao Song, then stood next to Shen Yu, quietly watching him appraise calligraphy and paintings.

Shen Yu's focus is entirely on the painting now. The only flaw of this painting is that it is too tattered. Maybe it was bitten by insects and rats. The tatters give people the feeling that it will become a pile of waste paper at any time.

Shen Yu used his imagination. Maybe the painting had been hanging on the wall of that house. Because it was too dilapidated, it was bought by the person who made the game. However, the person who made the game didn't look carefully, and then it was hit by Uncle Song by mistake. Missed it.

Of course, this is an assumption. It is possible that the person who set up the game did not realize that it was a leak after receiving the calligraphy and painting, and made a mistake on his own.

"It turned out to be the authentic work of Zhu Da, one of the four monks. Uncle Song really made a big mistake this time!"

When Shen Yu was still working at Bao Yuxuan, he paid a price of 170,000 yuan for an authentic painting of Zhu Da's "Lone Crow in the Cold Forest". He later sold it for 5 million yuan, making a profit of 480 yuan for the store. Thirty thousand, this is because the painting is too small, only about three-fifths of Song Bo's painting.

Many people are not familiar with Zhu Da (dā), but many people know about Bada Shanren.

But some people confuse Bada Shanren with his admirer Yangzhou Eight Monsters.

The Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou are eight people, namely Jin Nong, Zheng Xie, Huang Shen, Li Wei, Li Fangying, Wang Shishen, Luo Pin, and Gao Xiang.

There is only one Badashanren, Zhu Da.

The meaning of Bada Shanren is roughly "I am the greatest in all directions and corners, but nothing is greater than me."

When he signs his paintings, he often writes "Bada" and "山人" vertically. The first two characters resemble the character "cry" and the character "laugh", while the last two characters resemble the character "zhi", which means "cry". It means that I can't laugh or cry.

Zhu Da, whose real name is Zhu Tong, also known as Ben'an, and nicknamed Bada Shanren, was a famous painter in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and was a master of freehand painting.

Later, the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, as well as modern great masters such as Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, and Pan Tianshou, were more or less influenced by him.

Bada Shanren's paintings are good at landscapes with deep artistic conceptions, rolling eyes of flowers, birds, fish, insects, and various animals. His paintings are often unconventional and take a different approach. There are not many cracked brush strokes in the landscape, and the flowers and birds are stained with ink, and the images are strange.

The closest disciples were Dong Qichang, the distant disciples were Dong Yuan, Ju Ran, Guo Xi, Mi Fu, and the four masters of the Yuan Dynasty, Huang Gongwang and Ni Zan.

It was also influenced by the freehand brushwork of flowers and birds by famous artists in the Ming Dynasty, such as Shen Zhou, Chen Chun, and Xu Wei.

Bada Shanren was of extraordinary origin. He was the seventeenth son of Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty and the ninth grandson of King Ning Zhu Quan. He was a real member of the royal family.

He is talented and intelligent. He can compose poems at the age of eight, draw mountains and green waters at the age of eleven, and even write Mijia's regular script with his wrist hanging from his wrist as a child.

Although they belong to the royal family, they can be called a scholarly family.

His ancestor Zhu Duogang was a master of poetry and painting.

His father, Zhu Moujin, was good at painting landscapes, flowers and birds, and was the master of Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming, Zhou Zhimian, Lu Zhi and other painters.

Uncle Zhu Mou'an is also a painter, and is the author of "History of Painting".

When the Ming Dynasty fell, Zhu Da was just nineteen years old. Not long after his father passed away, he was extremely depressed and angry. He pretended to be deaf and mute, and escaped into Buddhism incognito. Playing with pen and ink, he finally became a great master in the history of painting.

The crane-shaped symbol on this painting is actually composed of the four characters "March 19" to express the deep nostalgia for the Ming Dynasty. It is said that March 19 in Jiashen is the death anniversary of Emperor Chongzhen.

Seeing this, Shen Yu smiled at Old Song: "Uncle Song, you are right. This painting is indeed an authentic painting, and it is also a big leak, and it is a top-notch big leak."
